Everything went great. I was welcomed when I entered the door. The exam went smoothly. The sales associate was great. She was able to get my eye insurance reinstated because of changes in my prescription from last year. That helped me tremendously. Also she tightened and cleaned my glasses that I was wearing.Overall It was a very pleasant and enjoyable experience.

On March 5, 2024 I was in for my annual eye examination. I am very fortunate and BLESSED to have Dr. Hickinson as part of my medical team of doctors. He keeps a outstanding watch on my eyesight. Special thanks to the rest of the staff every time I am in for my eye exam. They are always very professional. Very courteous and very polite. Thank you all so much. Please continue to keep up the good work that you all do. Because customer service is so very important.

As always, an excellent, highly professional experience. Thanos, the technician who worked with me, was very patient and spent a great deal of time answering questions, reviewing options, and getting me stylish glasses at a good price. I have always been very happy with Lens Crafters, and have always used the Grosse Pointe location.

Kathleen has a great way of making you feel like a vip. This is definitely my store of choice. I feel like people care about making sure that my needs are met. They have a good variety and help you navigate through the in-store kiosks if you want to make a custom order. I definitely recommend Kathleen and this store.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this store due to the unskillful and unprofessional behavior of several employees. Sierra, Kim, and Cathleen were very uncooperative when it came to obtaining my member ID number. Instead of calling the 1 800 number for VSP, they chose to text me multiple times, causing unnecessary frustration. Despite being told that my insurance would be accepted upon making the appointment, these employees failed to mention the exam cost and claimed that there would be a fee. Only after I showed them on my iPad that I was covered, did they acknowledge it. This incident has left a sour taste and I have decided never to visit this store again. The customer service provided by Sierra, Kim, and Kathleen was highly unprofessional and inadequate.

I had 2 pair of Gucci glasses that needed to be repaired on Christmas Eve. And to prevent going all the way to (Somerset Collection) where I bought them a nice lady named Bri was super helpful in fixing both pair for me in such a expeditious and polite fashion to where I will recommend the Grosse Pointe location over any other LensCrafters location. Thanks again Bri and the person that actually fixed both nose pieces.

I did not have a great experience here. I will say, the front desk staff was friendly and professional. As I suspected, I ended up needing my first pair of glasses. The person in the front who helped me select a pair was helpful and professional.I felt like the doctor was unprofessional, appeared disheveled and, honestly, unclean. She rushed through my exam to the point I'm not sure I am wearing the right prescription. The push for the extra $39 screening was completely absurd. It was brought up multiple times by the doctor to the point I felt she was more concerned with that than the actual prescription I needed. I was so put off I almost left. She actually challenged me at one point. When I picked up my glasses, it was about 20 minutes before closing. The girl handed me my glasses and I walked out without a fitting. They are crooked and I should go back, but I'll figure it out on my own.

Went for a contact lens exam a couple years ago. One of my eyes takes a much higher Rx than the other. The gentleman tried to tell me that I needed a + 7 pwr in that eye. I told him I currently was wearing a +11. He tried to convince me that my eye had improved. I am a senior citizen and trust me your eyes don’t improve when you are north of 60. I never went back. Went to a much better optometrist who actually increased my Rx . Avoid this place for contacts.

The eye exam was fine; and as expected I was solicited the extra in depth eye evaluation for $39 by more than one person and more than one time by each person.I won't be back. I really didn't appreciate the sales pitch to buy glasses when the ones I have work fine. What do I mean? I'll paraphrase since it wasn't I can't repeat exactly word for word. DESK: It must be nice to not have money concerns to throw away $150 of insurance money toward new glasses. ME: I don't need new glasses; I just wanted a quick check up and these are perfectly fine. DESK: you could get another pair. ME: I don't need another pair just to sit around and collect dust and I like these. DESK: you could get some for driving ME: I don't need glass for driving so I wouldn't use them; they would just collect dust. DESK: you could get a pair when riding your bike to keep the sun out of your eyes. ME: my helmet has a visor and I don't need glasses to ride a bike. Seriously, I only need/want computer type glasses and I have them so BACK OFF!!!There were a lot of other things said about how *I* should spend my money as if I don't have a care in the world about it; well, everything I've been to LC I've bought a pair and every time I walk out spending *MY* money on top of what is covered. I don't *NEED* new glasses so yeah, I'll just forgo using my insurance to get a "free" pair that isn't free. I appreciate the fix of the pairs I purchased there previously; albeit the repair on one of them was botched by a different desk person that one was technically a redo and the other was a simple tiny little screw for which I could buy an eyeglass repair kit and fix myself but they were purchased there so I took advantage of the free repair and adjustment. The one pair finally seems right after owning them for over a year.Nope, sorry, I walked away angry. I don't like doing business where people make me feel that my money is their money, too. I won't be back. 3 stars because it's convenient, my previous glasses were acceptably repaired, and I was in and out quick.
