About Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter
Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter is a safe haven providing lifelong homes for animals. The staff is super friendly, very kind, and absolutely amazing. They are informative, knowledgeable, and willing to answer any questions. They go out of their way to give information and ensure paperwork is taken care of. The facility is great and newly upgraded. Visitors report wonderful experiences finding well-trained companions, with pets getting along well in their new homes. The shelter embraces the No Kill philosophy, seeking to end the euthanasia of healthy and treatable animals.

All the staff here are so friendly and clearly care about the animals. It's a really lovely facility with a large piece of land and even a shop with pet essentials! We adopted a kitten from here last week and we're so grateful for her 🩷 thanks UPaws for all that you do!
