I have been here twice before for the Pitsaki egg decorating class- it was egg- selent (ha ha). Today i went to the polish porcupine or Jez class. Once again the instructor, Michelle, was amazing! She is so patient with those of us slow learners! I highly recommend this class as well. The shopping after was awesome too!

Store is pretty cool. Enjoyed talking with the manager.BEWARE Of PARKING- anywhere near here. Fed the parking meter - manager explained to 4 of us about them. Said if Meter is expired- add more $$ before leaving. Meter was blinking green and said no violation. 1 week later received $25 parking ticket- says I was 4 minutes late. Contesting it. A joke as Jo's. Campau is a ghost town most weekdays.

Finally made it here after a friend recommended me. Gorgeous gift shop with many different products to choose from. Beautifully-made Polish pottery, you can tell everything are skill-handcrafted and the price is not over asking, given the quality and authenticity of the product. People who want cheap, fake “Polish” pottery should just go to Target. I was mesmerized by the interior, the entire experience was very wholesome. Owner is very kind, knowledgeable about all the products, helpful with anything the customers need and their hospitality is what makes this place so special. I ended up buying a baking pan and a beautiful mug as a wedding gift, and the owner helped me wrap them soon as she heard it’s for a wedding. Lovely gift shop in the mid of Hamtramck. Will definitely come back!

I love coming here with my parents! Hamtramck is so diverse now compared to how it was back in the days with the Polacks running the town. This place gives them a feeling of nostalgia. Definitely a historic icon in Hamtramck!

I've been going here on and off for almost forty years! I'm so happy I could bring my children here to paint eggs and see everything over the years! The items I bought them for Christmas from this center when they were small are still things they treasure as young adults! Just ordered a pysanky video and items for a presentation at my senior center. The lady was so helpful over the phone, and I received my items the very next day!!!

Absolutely love this place and what a charming homage to the wonderful Polish culture that flavors the area. It really is like a visit to another country when you walk in, if you stay for a proper period of time even just to admire the wares on display, you'll walk out of the store almost forgetting you're still in the states (at least I did). Every time I turned around I saw something charmingly captivating that I didn't see on my first look. A lot of the items are also very affordable and make truly unique gifts for yourself or others. The staff are the other highlight - amazingly nice and friendly people who make you feel like you've been invited into their home and they are deadset on taking care of you. They are very polite, conversational, and share a lot of interesting and engaging knowledge about the products within; the best way I can describe it is a museum gift shop where the gift shop is the museum too, if that makes sense. I also really like the fact that they don't pressure you to buy, they are just as happy watching customer reactions and engagement with the items and talking about each one besides selling them. I could've stayed so much longer if it had not gotten so late. Do yourself a favor if you want a remarkable cultural experience and seek this place out to support these wonderful people and their establishment.

I received a gift of Polish pottery in the mail & it was packed to ensure it would arrive safely. It was so beautifully wrapped in Polish wrapping paper & ribbon, that I hated to open it. But I did & inside each piece was wrapped in tissue with Polish ribbon & then in bubble wrapped. I received a beautiful winter themed soup mug and smallbaking dish. I love both pieces.
