was double charged for my gas. walked in and had so much trouble just paying for my 20$ in gas. Because using the card reader was such a challenge for the girl behind the counter who replied "I'm clearing my email" all fast when i just asked how her days was, (trying to get her to come take my money because i had stood there for a good 10s) but after filling up and going home i notice a 40$ charge to my bank.... so it looks like batting my hand away from my card reader was the wrong move as you just decided to double charge me and tell me i was wrong when clearly the transaction went through.... i will not be coming back to this establishment.

I’ve always had a good experience at this gas station every time I’ve been there before but I had a super odd experience today. I showed up at 6:40 pm. Didn’t notice that the gas sign was off as the open sign and the liquor sign were still on in the window. I stop and go to the pump and it doesn’t accept my card multiple times. So I figured I would just go in as older pumps do this. I get to to the door and try to open it. There’s an employee sitting at the desk so I figured it was open (also the open sign..) but the door was locked. I was confused as to why it was locked so I just stood there for a second contemplating. Several other people come up and are trying to get it. I told a couple of them that it’s locked. We all agreed it was a little bizarre that it was closed on a Friday night at 6 pm but also had the open sign on? I understand if it wasn’t supposed to be open or maybe it’s short staffed (we all are) but the open sign being on as well as the employee just staring at all of us rather than telling us they were closed was just kinda weird. I know what it’s like to have people trying to come in after closing time. I know it’s annoying but I usually just tell them “hey sorry we’re closed but you can come back tomorrow at ___!” If they stand at the door. I’ve forgotten to turn off the open sign too! I know it’s easy to do! I will be coming back as the employees have always been super nice to me usually and it’s close to my home but this experience wasn’t the best. Several other people stopped and walked up to the open sign and tried to get in but had the same issue (obviously). I’m sure people are still trying to go in right now. If I would have known it was closed I simply would have just went to the other one down the road. Also I wanted to ad that google claims this place is supposed to be open until 10pm so that will likely cause more confusion.

I've never reviewed a gas station before, but I was so appalled by their price gouging that I had to write this. We stopped on the way to McLain State Park so my husband could get a sandwich. He immediately came running back out commenting on the high price. He was famished, so it must have been really overpriced for him to not buy any food. Later, some friends came to visit us at our campsite, they brought a bundle of wood purchased from Krist as a gift. It cost $7.50 (elsewhere $5.50 and a bigger bundle) and was pine wood. The wood showered the kids with burning sap bombs. Not fun. Do not go here, these people are blatant thieves.

Gasoline on the end of town! Nothing special to see here, other than you can pull in from multiple angles. Watch out for ATVs and snowmobiles, they like to jump off the trail and fill up here too.

They have rec fuel! No ethanol! Woohoo! Lawnmowers, weed whackers and other small engines rejoice!
