I was visiting Michigan in 2019 and I came across this shop. The woman who came out to help was not the most friendly. I purchased a $500 jacket and she told me this is the kind of jacket I'd have more a lifetime. It's been three years and the lining is shredding and the zipper is coming apart. I called the shop and explained the situation. The immediate response was aggressive and defensive. The woman who answered first said, "Once it's out the door it's not their problem." She then told me it was on sale and that it's been three years, and I should just find a tailor to fix it. $500 for three years and no offer to help. Not a good place to spend money.

Nice little shop with a bunch of fun stuff. You could certainly find some unique neat little things. Clothes and accessories.

I popped in on a slow afternoon looking for some basics. I believe the lady running the shop was named Shelly -- she could not have been ruder. She was dismissive about my size ... and didn't believe me when i told her my size. She was loud about this in the store and it was painfully uncomfortable. I will never go back.

I walked into this shop today, asked about an unlabeled women's scarf which was $175 discounted to $87.00 - I wanted to know what the fabric was....this old women came out from behind a screen grumpy and acted like I had no business asking anything it was on sale! She proceeded to tell me it was a designer scarf and I replied it had no label or signature on the scarf. Turns out it was not natural fabric. Horrible customer service - suggest you sell and retire if you are not up to interacting with customers. Harbor Springs has been a favorite of mine for 40 years - however it is not a. Sry welcoming town in Michigan now! Skip this shop unless you like ti be treated poorly. The old women needs to take a happy pill before she comes to work.

The owner was absolutely horrible, I have traveled all over the world and have never encountered such an unpleasant experience while shopping. Very sad because they did have some beautiful items that I would have purchased if it wasn’t for how we were treated.

Nice clothes. Way too over priced. I could go to Charlevoix and get the same $90 swimsuits they have here for $15. I’ll never spend more than $30 on something that I could make myself with $10 fabric.

The owner of this clothing shop treats customers horribly. I was treated as if I was less than her, and I found this experience very unpleasant; her manners were non-existent. They're clothing is extremely over-priced, I do not recommend this shop in Harbor Springs, as there are many better options in Northern Michigan.

Whilst meandering through a bustling Harbor Springs our sister, Lucille, sent my brother and I an urgent (all caps) text requesting us to purchase a Christmas gift for our dear cousin, Katherine. We turned to see the nearest store was Hilda's. Upon entering we were met by two seasoned shop women sporting smart Barbara Bush style bobs and wrapped in layers of mint green cashmere. Based on their facial expressions we could immediately tell that we were not Hilda's typical clientele. As we perused the waspy establishment my eyes quickly landed on a pair of stallion clad silken undergarments. I could only assume those were reserved for a sophisticated and special type of Harbor Spring's gentlemen. With apprehension we explained that we were looking for a present for our cousin within the $20 - $40 price range. The two women paused for a moment before ushering us to a basket of socks. As my brother dug through a pile of women's luxury socks I anxiously hurried back to the men's sections only to find the shop owner closely follow my long stride. Feeling like a North Korean civilian under the watchful gaze of dictator, Kim Jong Un, I scrambled back to the women's section where my brother was now fumbling with leggings. Having decided on a nice pair I quickly edged towards the exit. As my brother paid I couldn't help but feel like a modern day Julia Roberts in the acclaimed film Pretty Woman, thinking to myself, “I can't wait to come back for that pair of satiny men's underwear.†Minus five stars for making me keenly away of being part of the 99.9%, plus three stars for being (debatably) the best silk underwear vendors in all of Harbor Springs.
