“This was my first time shipping packages out of the country so I wasn't sure of the process. One box was too big and had to be repackaged. The clerk was pretty cool. He explained everything I had to do. I was able to ship one package. He gave me extra forms to fill out when I brought the second box back so it would already be completed. It's actually a smaller post office so it fills up quick. I went back to back for two days. I didn't have to wait long but line does get long quick. Maybe because it was the first of the year? Both times I was there, there were 3 clerks working. I did notice that it takes more time for customers applying for passports. Honestly I had to ship some packages for work through UPS. I went to UPS Store on Gratiot and 21 mile. It was worse. The line was out the door.”

“It appears as though this location is consistantly operated by just one postal service employee. She appears to be overworked. May be reason for her unfriendly demeanor. However i find that speaking to her with kindness & empathy brightens her attitude.”

“I’m from Virginia and staying with my mother who lives 45 minutes away. It’s so convenient that they stay open until 7pm. The postal workers are all very pleasant as well. I drove to the New Baltimore post office which closes at 6, they locked the door a minute before closing, as I walked up to the glass door- packages in hand, wouldn’t even acknowledge me. That was a 20 minute drive for me. I made the drive to this post office because a package had to go out- they work until the last minute. I’ve been here 3 times now & everyone is smiling, and kind. Even when I walk in 5 minutes before closing & 1 minute before close. I can’t figure out why it’s not rated 5 stars. They are the best post office in the entire area- and I’ve been to 8 within this 30-40 mile radius in the last 2 months.”

“Mostly, I've had good service from the USPS. When we lived on the lake, the service was terrible, I'd find the mail that didn't make it in my mail box on the ground, it happened on more then one occasion. The same postworker, would not get out of her car to bring partials to our door, she pulled in the drive way and leaned on the horn. If you weren't home, she just left. Where we live now, we have good service.”
