This place has the best authentic tacos and gorditas I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. Recently I started getting ready to cook fajitas from the meat market, needless to say I don't have to prep my own anymore. The service is quick and precise, couldn't get better in my opinion. The place is a bit packed with stock but that is given because of their huge demand for their food. Must try food if you haven't had the pleasure.

Best Mexican grocery store in the vicinity. We are Californians so we are accustomed to an abundance of Mexican cuisine including regional specialization. It is nice to discover ethnic variety here In cuisine beyond American fare. A meat counter carries marinated carne Asada, Chorizo and more exotic selections you may desire if you are more familiar with Mexican cuisine. There is a takeout window in back of the grocery store : tacos, nachos, guac, beans, enchiladas, tamales, etc We tried the barbacoa tacos and beef fajita plate from the takeout window. Adequately spicy and highly salted. Medium spicy is pretty spicy! We like spicy. Plenty of meat and double wrapped tacos. We ordered ( from meat counter) some prefrozen ground marinated beef for tacos for a 15 person taco fest and the meat was slightly sour but maybe it was just the marinade. This is a good option if you want Mexican food. Authentic! The food is good.

Wow! A taco shop in the back of a supermarket doesn't sound too appetizing but don't let that deter you. Food is fantastic! We got barbecoa, pastor and carnitas tacos. All were good but pastor was outstanding! We also got some prepared meats to take home. Authentic Mexican food and shop. Great service as well!

It's all about the handmade gorditas! I loved the carne asada one. Next time I'll try the barbacoa. Their salsa verde was dreamy. Awesome place, don't miss it for really great eats. The attached market is sweet and so is the patio out back. Enjoy!!!

This is a picture from the back, where you can sit to eat weather permitting. But you enter from the street side. Should have taken a picture of it. GREAT food!! I mean, really great food. Comparable to some of the best Mexican food I've had in Chicago. In 5 days in Michigan, without a doubt, the best food I've had. Simple, unassuming, but authentic: everyone in the kitchen was Latino/a. And the market offers all kinds of foods you won't find anywhere in a 50 mile radius, as well as staples. Not to be missed. It's the best Hart has to offer.

What a gem. We are from out of town and tried this recommended by our Air BNB. The food was fantastic. Wish I lived closer because I know I’ll crave this again.

I am giving it 5 stars even though we didn't get to eat here - seems as though the purveyor recently died so the kitchen was closed :(

Best restaurant in Hart, hands down. This is authentic food. I've ordered many things but the steak nachos are my favorite. It's enough for two people.

Best food in the Hart area. Delicious chicken and steak tacos! Take time to look through the amazing grocery store. Freshest produce and meat in the area and great prices. There is a seating area behind the restaurant or you can eat in the park across the street. They have the best tacos I’ve had in years!

This is the best Mexican restaurant in Hart. The competition is quite limited as there are only a couple of other Mexican restaurants in town but this place is very good indeed. It may be because the business is also a busy grocery store catering to the sizeable local Mexican population. So there is no sit-down area provided for dining; it's all carry out. There is a municipal park with picnic tables across the street but seating is very limited in this park. For all the complexities of finding a table and seats, I would say it's worth the trouble. The food tastes like what one would get in Mexico. I had their "combination" which is a sampler of their dining offerings. The tamales were some of the best I've had. They also offer a mixture of meat and mushrooms in a tasty sauce. Delicious! The rice was unexceptional as were the beans.

Absolutely amazing food! I have been going here for years, since they opened and have never had a bad experience. The staff is very friendly a the food is decently priced. While I like just about everything on the menu, the el pastor gorditas and tacos are in my top favorites. Highly recommend for good authentic Mexican food.
