Harvey Anytime fitness is the best. All the staff are very friendly and helpful.A business that gives back to their community as much as they do is impressive and greatly appreciated.

Favorite Anytime! I wish the one in Marquette was owned by the Thayers.

Awesome, friendly, and helpful staff, I never feel embarrassed to ask how to use a piece of equipment or what workout would be the best to target a certain area. It is the cleanest gym I have ever seen as well, and they have EVERYTHING you could need. I decided to invest in myself and with all the options out there I could not have chosen a better way to do it. Huge shout out to Lance, Ben, Tracy, & Logan! You all make me smile every time I walk in the door.

This gym enables anyone to work out to better their health. People of all ages and physical condition work side by side and encourage one another. My husband I have been members for about nine years and really enjoy the family atmosphere, friendly staff and cleanliness.

The staff here is some of the nicest people I’ve experienced in a gym setting. The walls are filled with achievements and goals of residents, which shows they are genuinely about community rather than profit. Bubba, one of the personal trainers, is motivated and ready to help anyone get to the shape they want to be at a comfortable and welcoming pace. I would give it a 5-star rating, but as someone who likes to use the gym to isolate and discipline, it can get very cramped. It has any piece of equipment you could think of, and they are always taking suggestions to add so that the gym better suits your exercise style.Thank you for making gyms a place for everyone to feel included and supported! ?

As a member for 45 days I am pleased. AF has a good business model that the owner follows, and now is at point of tweaking some aspects and giving attention again to the basics for this service business. There is a larger AF in Marquette, but word of mouth is that this smaller gym is preferable and better operated because of a different clientele. Marquette is said to be dominated by a younger male crowd that can be less considerate.Overall it is an inviting clean gym and most patrons are good about complying with expectations such as changing shoes, wiping down equipment, and using members entrance. As usual there are those who believe that rules don’t apply to them but there’s no mechanism for policing. If I was to list the things that I would recommend to make it better (some require social engineering to correct and others will require a discreet conversation) they would be as follows:1. The owner can often be seen on the premises which is always a good sign and seems to make staff members more diligent. Unfortunately she does not acknowledge any of her customers or interact with them casually unless engaged one on one as a personal trainer. Perhaps the job is stressful and she only hears complaints but it would help if she would at least smile at people if she wants to engage because currently she does not seem approachable. Too bad because I feel that there are compliments awaiting her too. BTW, the member appreciation day was a nice touch.2. Very professional staff who are easy to converse with about various matters. I would recommend that they reinforce the offer to be consulted about the use of any machine that seems confusing at first, e.g. adductors, abductors, triceps, leg press, bikes (with TVs attached). In regard to the machines or general info that would be beneficial to disseminate, has it been considered to do a group email 2x a month to let people know about new or replacement machines, reminders about gym etiquette, “coupon specials” on any extra services, etc. etc?3. Find ways to generate more income for personal trainers at a more reasonable cost for the area’s median income. Good PTs can provide valuable information about many matters but there’s no way to determine who would be more suitable for a member’s needs. After I joined a trainer was supposed to call me for the free session but never did. Fortuitously I interacted with a PT when I was looking for assistance with a machine. He was a better match because of similar health concerns and he had relatives he helped train who were in my age group. I stretched the budget for six half hour sessions and picked up a couple of good tips. Also, PTs need something to distinguish themselves from others in the gym especially if they are in session with a client. This would enable them to look more professional, get the attention of prospective clients and dissuade others from trying to talk to them when they are working. Maybe an arm band or brightly colored well delineated T-Shirt.4. There is a voluntary demarcated time periods during the day for different age groups that life stages dictate. I see a lot of other Gray Panthers but occasionally there is overlap. Most of the under 30 are decent about the rules but about 2/3 of guys do not believe that they should have to use a wipe on a machine. On several visits I have observed another segment use the general entrance and go right to a machine without a change of shoes. One of the offenders is a PT. Most are sane about their attire and I have not seen any “stud muffin” trying to draw attention or be aggressive by sound or act when working out. I have been surprised twice by young women who are either oblivious or want to show off. One wore a tight clinging shirt and short shorts. The other had a narrow bra top and a thong under a transparent thigh length spandex bottom. Was I going to say anything? No, I am not that stupid but if it was a guy wearing a banana hammock I might quietly talk to him.In conclusion I give AF in Harvey a strong recommendation.

The management of this gym is absolutely terrible! The head woman treated my boyfriend and I like we were children. I recommend the one in town over this one.
