Seen a few bad reviews and was skeptical to be honest. But I wanted to put something current up for this place.
I went in June of 24 and I came out on top with a truck bed of mixed metals & wire.
The Hilo operator set out bins for me to make things easier and the payout was quick and fair. Everyone coming in was respectful of the truck and property outside.
It did get busy which makes it tough to get out of the lot, beside that great place.

Robbed 1 too many times here and not going back. $0.60 short of current price for clean copper last time. Now #2 baling being $260/nt rn they paid $0.089/lb which ends up being $82 less per ton... Old lady at the scale and the kid that sometimes runs nonferrous are good people. The rest have terrible attitudes. There's plenty other places around that have personable employees and pay way more

I brought some scrap steel here today for the first time, and I was very much impressed with this business. Everyone was polite, their process is very efficient, and I was in and out in no time. Would definitely recommend.

Inaccurate hours listed. Their website says they're open 9-1 on Saturdays. I got to the lot at 12:15 on a Saturday and the gate was locked. I noticed this complaint by others, and hoped it had been corrected, but unfortunately, I've wasted my time trying to recycle metal here.

Great scrap yard family ran, owners a good guy great scrap yard for any businesses looking for consistent pricing, easy location, and a big lot to turn around in. It's right off 8 mile and 75 very easy to get to even if you have to make a u-turn up the road. Scale is easy to get on and off of, owner even let us scale our truck before hitting 94 when we weren't scrapping (granted we've scrapped almost 100k pounds there). One of the only yards I've been to that doesn't freak out over a couple of small screws, or garbage bags. Employees are nice guys too keep the lot very clean and very safe for your tires.
