There are better providers out there that offer the same speeds for way less and even higher speeds for less. Sort of a rip off honestly. The internet works 90% of the time but we still lose it at midnight for some reason. Don't know why, even after they changed lines in our house it still continued to happen. So probably on their end that's the issue. If u have no choice then it's not bad but if u got a different choice then I'd look into those companies for cheaper internet at a higher speed.

Lakenet is great internet service when it comes to reliability. There is one thing to be aware of though prior to signing up for the 2 year contract. When you sign up for internet service, that service is only good for that 2 year contract for that residence address only. If you plan on moving within that 2 years, you likely won't want Lakenet. The service does not move with you for that contract you signed up for. It is is not transferable. When you move from your old home to new home, you will have to pay any remaining month's owed on the old home contract and then sign up for another 2 year contract on the new home. People move all the time and this doesn't make that process any easier when you find that out. Just costs you more money for non service.Your receptionist never gave us those options for either home so new customers should probably ask.

If you would like internet after midnight when it's a weekend or you're snowed in look elsewhere. Between them shutting down for hours and their rude tech support it's almost comical. In mother Russia internet surfs you

You will consistently lose internet between 12am and 3am, it happens at least 3 times a week.

Absolutely the best internet!! Never have any issues with surfing the web or game playing. We have a household of 4 and we can all use it without any problems. They are quick to respond to any questions I have. My husband was planting trees and hit our cable wire causing the internet to stop working. Within 2 days they came out and fixed it. Super happy with them and will never go anywhere else!

Good company for sure it's small. Had them now since we moved here for 4 years now. They try to keep everyone updated with when there is an outage. They are nice! Hopefully more years to come!

It's a pretty good service,I have not noticed an outage yet. My neighbor who has them said if it happens it's only a couple minutes. It's a little pricy considering the turn on fee of $100 if I sign a 2 year contract. If I happen to not stay 2 years it's another $100. No running wires or anything, everything was here. Oh well. The monthly rate is not too bad by itself.

Okay so they've told us its gonna take 2-3 months to come out and setup internet at our new house, in what world does it take that long for you to send people out? And I see the owner reviewed her own place and gave 5 stars? and I see all these reviews of people saying its slow internet so I'll keep you updated when I FINALLY get the internet.Update:they've finally setup their flags twice, and they've run up the wire right up to my house and have left, if I may ask why do you run the wire up to the house and then leave it for several days instead of hooking it up all at once while you're here, we've been waiting for 3 months now, I would just like to have internet please.Last update: its good internet I haven't had problems but the amount of time it took was frustrating but we have it now, I'll have ping spikes here and there but no outages. I'll change my 2 to 4 stars, thank ya.

Lakenet is a somewhat so-so ISP. When it works, it's okay. D/L rate isn't very fast, and never gets anywhere near the stated 25Mbps (more like 5-10), but it's rural internet so what are you expecting. They do make you use their own routers, so if you need features like actually acceptable QoS, port forwarding, and a custom DHCP you can forget it.The real issue is the downtime, which is frequent and annoying. The TV service still barely works all this time later. The picture is super soft, suffers from heavy compression artifacts, and it drops out multiple times a day. The internet isn't much better, and every night goes down at least once. I get they need to run maintenance scripts sometime, but it's annoying to have your download drop out and never recover for 5-10 minutes down. The VoIP phone service likes to drop several packets at a time causing voice fluctuations and at worst drop outs. It's to the point where I use my cell phone unless I absolutely have to as it's just not reliable enough. That's the main issue overall, really. Nothing about Lakenet is reliable. They command high prices, and yet all these issues that have existed for literally years never get fixed, either because their team is unwilling or just plain unable to fix them. When something breaks hard enough for them to have to send someone out, the techs usually aren't super knowledgeable and tend to turn simple solutions into hours long ordeals. If this is the only service you get, then yea I guess it is better than nothing, but if you have a choice between ISPs I'm not sure I could reccomend them.

I have had LakeNet and the fiber optic internet now for about 6 months, I was worried about the service because of it being a small business. I have had Charter for years and had the best package i could get. The fiber optic from LakeNet blows away anything I ever had before!! Lightning fast speeds with 124MBPS up and down speeds. So happy i couldn't get Charter and found this little power house company!!

Repeat problems with business office. Owners are rude. Keri even gave herself a 5 star review on here. Dishonest people who need some competition. Fiber optics is a bit more reliable but consistently slow. 10 gigs for $80 per month. Robbery. I love the country but miss common courtesy and competition of the city. Blown away by the lack of customer service knowledge. Inconsistent office hours.

This is the best internet provider I have ever had. Never had an outage that lasted more than a minute in the 2+ years I've been with them

I am a programmer and I needed fast internet to do my work after moving to Hemlock. I had to pay for the internet to be installed on our road but my neighbors were very appreciative and it was well worth it. I get 100 MB up and 100 MB down consistently (fiber) so I am a happy camper. The support is good once you learn that you have to hit option 2 when they dont answer the phone to get help. My guess is most of the bad reviews here are wireless customers which is why I paid extra to get fiber. Wireless can be unreliable by nature.
