Lookin' Back performed at Gilmore Car Museum a couple of years ago, and they treated us like the rock stars we've only fantasized about our entire lives. Some bands get a Green Room (more like a prison cell), but we got a centennial cottage for the entire afternoon/evening, and we were delivered to the stage in classic limousines.1st rate sound stage, great people, and probably the most impressive car collection in the world.

This place is a gem. Immaculately kept, kind and informative staff, interesting vehicles that are easy to see are just some of the reasons our group of 3 found this to be a highlight of our road trip. All vehicles have informative descriptions and some come with really interesting backgrounds. Even if you’re not a car geek, you’ll love seeing this piece of American history.

This pace is superrr amazing oh my goshh! I was in awe and couldn’t imagine how big this place was, they have a lot of different buildings and are still expanding! It’s incredible to see hundreds of millions of dollars worth of cars being preserved and cherished. If you have the chance to go i woukd highlyyyy recommend, especially if you are of a fan of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Happy days, or Ford vs. Ferrari because they have a vehicle from each of those places! ?

What a phenomenal museum! A friend told us about this museum and we planned a visit on a Saturday after seeing a show in Kalamazoo. A few exhibits were closed because we visited in March, but it hardly mattered. There were enough cars and exhibit areas to keep us occupied and enthralled for hours. The collection of cars is impressive and the documentation and historical information is excellent. Volunteers and docents are engaging, passionate and know their stuff. Highly recommended.

Really great holiday experience while visiting family in the Kalamazoo area for Christmas. So unfortunate that veterans are not acknowledged at this event even though the signage reflects a veteran rate. The Air Zoo gives senior vets a wonderful discount! Needless to say, we did refrain from any additional purchases while at the Gilmore Car museum. Thanks for your contribution to the Kalamazoo community.

We spent 4 hours here in winter. Great value. Amazing display top tier cars from all era’s. It’s great they let you get right up close and peak inside the open windows as most are not behind ropes. I was really surprised by this as many of the cars and very high value. Nice interactive displays to keep the kids entertained as well. The gift shop has some very affordable prices as well. Surprised I didn’t know about it sooner.

We loved this museum. We went for the Christmas festivities and the kids had a blast. They loved every bit of it. And worked so hard to find all the hidden elves. We did the light show afterward and it was our favorite light show to date. We loved how the lights are in sync with the music. We go to quite a few light shows a year and we haven't seen this in michigan yet. Definitely will be returning next year.

This is truly a cool place! Especially during Christmas time with all their decorations and Christmas light drive. Gorgeous cars from new to old. Loved the super cars! They have a little food shop in the main building and a dinner outside on the grounds. They have a little bar next to the dinner. Inside before you leave you go through a nice little gift shop. Strongly, strongly recommend going!

This place is amazing! The collection here is huge, from 100 year old cars to motorcycles and everything in between. Better spend a whole day here to be able to fully check out all the cars. The employees are full of knowledge and are very friendly. The Bluemoon Diner had very tasty food, and the service was amazing. Had a great visit and can not wait until the next visit.

Best car museum in NA set up like a village. Christmas displays, lights & activities are wonderful for the whole family! So great to see the lights in a vintage car driven by a volunteer docent with loads of fun facts. The Diner is a must along with the huge display of good ornaments and the old gas station. Memories were made at the camp fire and got us all in the Christmas mood!

Amazing experience! It was fun walking between buildings and looking at a variety of cars! Not to mention, a tasty custard at the dinner at the end!

The volunteers and donors make this museum an incredible place. Each person i spoke with took time to share knowledge about these beautiful cars that it would take decades to memorize.Such as why tires at one point were white, and how one car even has mysterious nautical aesthetics. On a whim, with 30 minutes to spare, i stopped in and spent almost 2 hours and can't wait to be back. Definitely check this place out.

This is a real nice and calm place. Definitely a must visit place in the North East of Detroit. During the supercar theme athere was even a Vector, one of the most seldom supercars on earth. But have a look into my pictures ?

We had a super interesting and relaxing visit to this museum complex. We spent a good 4 hours exploring and did not see everything. We especially enjoyed the muscle cars exhibit, the toy pedal cars exhibit, and reproduced Shell service station with Model T with a snowmobile conversion. The diner provided a nice break with decent lunch offerings. We would have been interested in more information on the car mascot / hood ornament display. There were many examples but not enough info regarding manufacturers for each one. It would be good to have profiles of the artists. The layout inside and outside is great and spacious. It is wheelchair accessible. The handicapped stall in the bathroom could be larger. It is tight. Overall, excellent and we will return.
