For me to type everything that is awesome with Jack's could take all week which is what the length of stay we had there last week. The cabins were cute and cozy with just enough of everything to make them perfect. I really don't want to say to many great things about Jack's because then they will book up real fast and I will have to wait for my reservation. Jacks..you are doing great!! Bait shop..great inside information on which lure and color..I scored big time with your help even beating out my adult grandkids lol Grandma was hauling them in! Love ya Jacks!

WARNING - Bed Bugs found in Duplex 10 at Jacks Landing
I want to start by saying I have stayed at Jacks every year for the past 22 years and have always enjoyed our vacations until this year. We mostly stayed in Duplex 10 but have also stayed at the waterfront cabins and Anglers Hideaway.
This year we stayed the week starting July 6th in Duplex 10. We discovered a bed bug issue towards the end of the week. We started getting red bite marks and waking up to find blood on the sheets. Upon further inspection we discovered live bed bugs and a lot of black/red stains on the box springs of all three beds and the futon.
We immediately notified the management and were extremely disappointed in the response. They said they always clean the rooms and have never seen evidence of bed bugs. They offered us a $150 gift certificate for next year and told us one of the managers was going to the store to get “stuff” to clean it up right away. When we pushed for a full refund they said “No because we don’t know where they came from” insinuating that we brought them with us. She also said she had bed bugs at her house before and it was not a big deal to get rid of them.
This is a very big infestation and was not hard to find once we looked closer. All four people who stayed in the cabin had upwards of 50+ bites appear at the end of the trip. We kick ourselves for not inspecting the bed upon arrival but after 22 years you tend to trust a place.
I understand that bed bugs can happen anywhere but the response from the manager was very worrisome. The worst part is it appear they plan to “clean” it themselves instead of hiring a profesional. From what I read bed bugs are difficult to eliminate without professional help. My guess is they will continue to have issues with Bed Bugs.
I just want to raise awareness to all potential guests of Jack that bed bugs were in Duplex 10 and to be very cautious if you decide to stay at this resort.

My parents are in the middle of a 1 month stay with their RV hook up here. It was their first time staying here and it has been the worst experience they have had in their entire life. Their campsite (Lot 29) is completely torn up with deep ruts and uneven ground from previous campers and huge potholes in the road. The rainy weather has made it even worse. Our site is in awful condition and trying to park and get around has been a daily nightmare. This vacation has not been relaxing at all, only more stress and every day it seems worse. They are almost 80 years old and trying not to fall is a constant worry. The other campsites seem fine but not ours, it's far worse that everyone else. We couldn't get our money back and the managers will not even offer a partial refund. They eventually planted a couple small plants but it didn't really help and this site should not even been open in its condition. Regarding the claim of "Wi-fi", it was not available 95% of the time. The only good reception was if you were standing right in front of the bait shop. I guess I should say something nice so the restaurant is good. But we will never come here to camp again. We are just waiting for this month to end so we can go back home.

Went to Jack’s Landing with a friend for appetizers one of the best restaurants in Burlington near Appleby. They have a wide range of entrées to suit anyone’s diet whether it’s vegan or gluten-free everything was so delicious and the service was excellent. Clinton the manager especially attentive to our needs. We will be visiting again very soon.

Rooms: Our group meets at Fletchers once a year for the past 30 years. Our first time staying at Jacks Landing.....the staff was super pleasant. The accomodations are on par or better for the resorts in that area. We will be back next year.
