Quiet, private atmosphere. Very welcoming. Comfortable wait area. Pleasant staff make you feel very comfortable even on your very first visit! Your concerns and desires are listened to and client satisfaction is their goal. Great salon in the heart of Washington Square!

Over the past 3 months, we’ve had several appointments with Hannah! She’s been amazing! Her communication, attention to detail, patience, and work ethic is top tier! Hannah is wonderful with children, working with my 7 and 3 year old! She gave them the ultimate spa day, hair wash/dry and style!

I booked a haircut and I’ve been getting compliments about it non-stop! I love the way it turned out and will definitely be coming back :) I also got a scalp detox and a hair mask treatment which were very soothing as well. Thanks Hannah!

Abby is amazing! I’ve been seeing her a few times now and have left happy and confident every time. She is always able to easily understand what I’m looking for with little direction and translate that into what techniques or treatments will be best, always yielding amazing results. I love that she makes her suggestions not just based on what you envision but also how dedicated you are to managing upkeep - truly finding what’s best for you AND your lifestyle as opposed to pressuring and upselling. She’s also incredibly nice and easy to talk to while still giving me the chance to relax when needed! Thank you Abby!!

I absolutely love it here!! The space is such a vibe, I feel comfortable and at ease right away, the people are all so friendly and helpful. It truly feels like family right when you walk inside. I have never felt such peace at a hair salon before!
I get my hair done with Abby and she is absolutely amazing she does a great job but all of the staff are so talented at what they do!

I tried a few different salons before finding Sarah at Ardor and Grit, and I will never go anywhere else again! No one was able to put blonde in my hair like she can! She is the owner of the salon and has amazing techniques when it comes to brightening up the hair, AND the color lasts!! I can go anywhere from 6-8 months before I need any sort of touch up. The atmosphere at the salon is so inviting, and everyone there is so friendly, you won’t regret checking it out!

I have had such good experiences with Sarah as well as two newer stylists that helped on occasion. I have fine, fragile hair so I have always been very nervous going to a new place but I was referred to her and have followed her FB page for years watching her videos showing her knowledge.
Sarah made me feel confident and comfortable with the specialized services I get and I have had no complications!
All of the staff are welcoming, nice to talk too and fun- I love the fun they have together.
The atmosphere is so comfortable and relaxed, the shampoo experience is fabulous, and being offered a Latte or water is extra nice.
I highly recommend Ardor and Grit Salon. All of the ladies seem to be very talented in their craft.

I absolutely love this salon! I usually see stylist Abby and she is so phenomenal to work with! She is kind, knowledgeable and very talented! When I found this salon a few years ago I felt so welcomed and truly pampered! When you walk in you can tell everyone is happy to be there and they’re always smiling! I’ve tried many different salons but after coming to Ardor & Grit I won’t be going anywhere else! I’ve never left disappointed!

I’m never going to another salon. I love the friendly environment and the people there. Kenzie absolutely kills it everytime. And all the other stylists do an amazing job too. It feels so good to actually have someone take the time to go over exactly what you want and execute it perfectly. I will never not recommend Ardor and Grit to someone looking to get their hair done!

Sarah, you were professional, thoughtful, and considerate throughout the entire process, and I left feeling pampered and rejuvenated. Your salon is not only aesthetically beautiful, but you have also assembled a lovely staff who are a credit to your business. Have gotten my hair done here multiple times now and I love it. The environment is comfortable and adorable. The employees also do an incredible job. Kenzie Spitters does my hair and I will never go to anyone else ever again. Not only is she entertaining to talk to and fun to be around, she is incredible at doing hair. She can take my ideas and inspiration and not only understand them but make them better. She takes such amazing care of you and your hair you can just tell she loves what she does. Would highly recommend checking her and Ardor + Grit out for your next hair appointment!!
