I bought a used 2016 Mazda CX-5 from Crown at the end of June, 2023. The check engine light came on about a month and half after buying it. I called Fox Mazda in Grand Rapids and made an appointment within a day to get it diagnosed. Within one hour of having my car, Fox Mazda was able to diagnose my car and give me an estimate for how much it would cost to fix. Their diagnostic test showed that my car had a faulty heater core and would cost around $2,000 to fix. Mazda sent out a service bulletin about faulty heater cores in 2017, so this is a common issue with these cars. Crown clearly did not inspect my car before I bought it.I called Crown and they told me they would not consider paying for the repair unless they were the ones to diagnose the car. They couldn't get me in for THREE weeks.I then brought my car into Crown three weeks later and they had my car for TWO full business days while they diagnosed it. Not sure why it took them two full business days to diagnose while it only took Fox Mazda one hour. I was very frustrated that I not only had to wait three weeks just to get it diagnosed, but they also took way too long to confirm that my car had a problem that I already knew it had. After they diagnosed my car they told me their estimate was $2,700 but that they would take $1000 off as a "good will policy." I was confused as to why their estimate was $700 more than Fox Mazda's was, and nobody was willing to explain it to me. Britany from customer service texted me asking me for feedback after my diagnostic appointment, and I explained everything I was frustrated about with her. She assured me she would talk to her manager and get back to me soon. She then did not text me back until I texted her THREE WEEKS later asking if she was still working on it. She responded to me saying that her manager should be reaching out to me soon, which he never did.Crown told me they had to order a new heater core and that it would take about one week for it to come in. My diagnostic appointment was on August 25. By September 14 I still hadn't heard anything from Crown, so I called and found out my part supposedly came in the day before and they hadn't gotten to calling me yet. I made an appointment to bring my car in on September 25 because that was the soonest they had a loaner car available.I brought my car in on September 25 and tried to have a conversation with the man in the service department about the price. He assured me they would take the $1000 off but would not talk to me about taking more money off. I gave up and left my car for them to fix. Two days later I came in to pick up my car and tried again to have a conversation about the price. I said I don't understand why their original estimate was $700 more than Fox Mazda's and his response was, "well some dealerships have different rates for labor." In reality, Crown just takes way longer to get things done than most dealerships. He then could tell I was annoyed so he asked if I had any other questions, and I explained that I was very frustrated with their lack of communication and how long it has taken them to get things done. I told him I was frustrated that I had been told so many times that a manager would talk to me about the price and I had continued to get blown off and ignored by several different people at Crown. His response to that was, "The repair is done now, so I'm not sure what to say to that." He was completely unwilling to have a conversation with me about it, and he didn't offer to find the manager for me while I was there. He was rude and dismissive, and I left feeling disrespected and unheard. My dashboard now has rattles and squeaks that weren't there before, and the ceiling of my car had a bunch of greasy fingerprint marks that weren't there before. The receipt they gave me also had a breakdown of costs at the bottom, but instead of separating the cost into labor and parts, they just put the whole $1,596 under "miscellaneous," which I find very suspicious.Terrible

My boyfriend bought a car from the crown motor outlet on butternut Dr in Holland and what a joke got the car home and within 2 days found out it had mice in it caught,3 mice we let the car sit for 3 weeks to make sure we had all the mice contacted the sales lady and she said well what do you want us to do about it. Then when we knew the mice were gone was going to drive it well the rack and pinion are junk took it to crown by airport in Holland and we will not repair it. It's not covered under your warranty so it will cost you approximately 3075.00to get it fixed. Grant it we only had the car for 5 weeks so he paid 20,000for a SUV that we put 612 miles on it and now call drive it. I think it's pretty sad that obviously they knew something was wrong with this car because looking at the car fax the car was purchased 3times by different people and returned within 2days from each buyer. I would not recommend buying anything from crown motors in Holland. Not at good customer service because we just got ripped off 20,000for nothing They did call on Saturday and they are going to work to work with us to get this resolved and possibly offer us a extended warranty at at discounted price

I'd buy from them again. The buying process took longer than I wanted it to, I had a long drive back home. I'm pretty happy with how things went and how I was treated.Tony was great to work with, someone give him a raise.

I took my car in to have the muffler/ exhaust replaced...whatever needed to done, just do it so it runs quiet again. When I picked it up and started it, the car didn't sound any different. Fast forward a couple of months...the noise was making me nuts so I took my car into a muffler man. They hoisted it up and the tech saw the hole in the muffler big enough to stick your fist into! Seriously Crown??? How do you miss something like that and in good conscience charge me $ 168.00 for some stupid screen? And, did you not hear that the car sounded the same as when I brought it in? That's my bad too. I should never have driven away without confronting you guys.

We worked with Mitch Pratt on a vehicle site unseen he was very responsive. We purchased the vehicle and was as described and met all expectations. Process of dealing with Crown Motors was super easy and had the vehicle delivered out of state.

I have used the Service Department ,2x these last few months. One for a recall and once to get the code for my radio after battery replacement. I have had the privilege of dealing with TIM both times. He is very professionally friendly and very patient in explaining things. He is an asset to Crown Motors.

Got my car from here barely a year ago and it's already been in the shop 4 separate times within the year for so many different issues. I was sold a junk car and I'm extremely disappointed in the product I was sold.

We bought a Certified Honda Pilot from here at the end of January. The whole process of buying the vehicle was pretty good, can't complain on the purchasing of it. However once we drove off the lot is when the problems started. Two weeks after purchasing the BRAKE light kept coming on while driving, not the one that there is something wrong with the brakes but the light that comes on when you are getting to close to something. Every time that the light came on, there was nothing even close to the vehicle. After it happening numerous times, Crown finally said we needed to bring it in to get it looked at. So that is what we did, they called saying that the sensors on the front of the vehicle needed to get adjusted, so they did that. That fixed the problem. Forward to May, the Emissions System Problem and check engine light came on. Again after numerous times of the lighting coming on, they suggest we take it in, so we did. They ran the code and it said what the problem was. They said that they couldn't fix it because according to Honda a part has to "fail" the test before they fix the problem. Even though the light telling us there is a problem going on, they couldn't do anything. The service rep called with the news, in which Marcus, was very unpleasant to talk with, telling me that sometimes the customer wants something wrong with their vehicle and get upset when there isn't anything wrong with it. We had some very heated conversations with numerous people at Crown over this. They told us we must have had bad gas, that it was a fluke thing and the car must have fixed itself. Needless to say we left there with the intention of getting a second opinion. Before leaving they said that if the light comes back on, to bring it back and they will fix it. They also mentioned that the vehicle might need a transmission flush, that bad transmission fluid can cause this. When we bought the vehicle, we also bought an extended warranty, in which the transmission flush wasn't covered. They were constantly trying not to fix the problem, just put a band-aid on it. While on the way home from Crown, the Emissions System Problem and check engine light came back on, not even 10 mins after leaving. So the next day I went back and guess what, all the people we had talked to, since I wanted to show them the light was back on, weren't there. We told them that they should buy the vehicle back, that they have sold us a lemon. They wouldn't even buy it back!! So sad that they won't even stand behind one of their Certified Honda vehicles! Supposedly in order for a vehicle to get certified, it goes through a intensive inspection, one in which I don't think happened. Let just say, the vehicle has been nothing a LEMON. We will NEVER NEVER buy from them again, nor will we be suggesting anyone we know to buy from there.

I recently got the oil changed in my Honda Civic at a service station that I've been using for years. They informed me that my skid plate was extremely difficult to remove because the screws that were there were too tight, and in other places the screws were missing so zip-ties were used. I was confused because I always do my oil changes there, however, it was pointed out that the sticker on my windshield was from Crown Motors because they offered a "special" rate for an oil change so I took advantage of it. I called them to correct the problem with the skid plate and was told that they use zip-ties when they don't have the hardware. First of all, why wouldn't a dealership have the basic hardware, and why wouldn't they tell me if they didn't? I was told to make an appointment which would cost $50-$60 for parts/labor. Why am I paying for their mistake? I will not go back.

took my grand Cherokee in for 3 areas to get checked after the service tech "inspected" the vehicle the price was 5400.00 with numerous other things added to the invoice. I had them check the trans cooler lines-yep needed changed, check 2 electric connectors "it would take to long to sodder those wires so we will change out the whole wiring harness- 650+ dollars, 3rd item checked a vibration at 50-60mph that was because the drive shaft, transfer case are leaking and need replacemen. I called another dealership send them the invoice found out that they are charging the highest rate per hour for labor in the entire area including Grand Rapids, added items air filter 60.00 plus 21 to change it I have a KN filter, replace all fluids - never asked them to check it because it was just done. I was also informed by the other dealership that they are making up parts 20% from book price. DO not go here they will ripe you off.....

In June of 2022 I went into Crown Motors and purchased a vehicle. Was so proud of myself as I felt I did good and didn't need a guy to go with me. Man was I wrong an hour after pickup check engine light, tires sensors came on but I was out of town due to basketball later that night noticed no headlights they gave me the run around for days after. Finally I called the manager and he told me to take it to the shop my brother in law helped and called the manager and explained that the car hadn't worked after I got and the manager had them work on it. Got it back and then again check engine kept happening Crown then had the vehicle for the first 90 days. I fought them to just give me a different car as this isn't safe for myself nor my kids and that was pointless. They wanted a $2000 restocking fee. Finally got it back in October 2022 ran okay until January 2023 had to take it back to them and again given the run around and they said my extended warranty wouldn't cover the new areas that needed fixing. They hadn't even called my extended warranty, because I called my extend warranty and they said it was covered item. I decided to take it to another dealership maker if the vehicle Ford who took my extended warranty and they fixed the other problem earlier February but now again I am back due to the same issue moral of the story don't go to CROWN MOTORS. I haven't even had the vehicle for an entire year and I have been in more loaners then anything. Ford has taken the vehicle for repairs now because Crown wouldn't call the insurance. I'm a single mom of two and wanting money out of pocket isn't helpful.

We bought a new van from crown motors. They worked with us to get a second key made locally since they could only find one key on hand for the vehicle. The van is running well and the car buying experience was fairly hassle free. I don't feel like I got a deal, but I don't feel like I got ripped off either. Overall good experience working with the folks and crown motors.

I won't ever buy a vehicle from any Crown Motors again. We went in March/April of 2022 to buy a van from them. Long story short, in the process of purchasing the van, we talked about doing a trade in on one of our cars, but didn't like how much they were offering for it, so ended up turning the trade in down. But, when the paperwork was signed and finalized, the wrong paperwork went through. So they ended up paying off the loan on the trade in vehicle, and we caught the mistake, brought it to their attention, and were told to give them the car, or reverse the entire deal (give back the van we bought, and keep the trade in) except we would be charged the $6,000 they spent on paying off the loan. Then on top of that, more paperwork got messed up for the van we bought. They sent the bank we were financing through a loan amount that was around $2,000 higher than what it was suppose to be. Which I caught when I saw our first payment was higher than expected. And then we were told we still needed to make the first higher payment in order to redo paperwork.I will say this though, the Salesman we worked with was KC and he was a great individual, but everybody else above him was awful. We won't be back.
