If I could give them zero stars I most certainly would. The wife of the owner stated she would order us a couch set and if we did not like the color we would be able to get our money back. There was no other sofa & loveseat set that resembled the color we wanted. Therefore she said our money would be returned. I asked her numerous times so there were no misunderstandings as this has never been an option at any other furniture store we went. She reiterated if we paid half up front, the money would be returned if the color was incorrect. Not once did she say it would be store credit. Clearly she knew we would not be able to use the store credit for our sofas as they did not have another option for us. When we went in to see the couches we told the employee about the situation. He was very kind and tried to help us find a set the color we need. He stated, "we have nothing like that right now." He sent us home with no refund and no answers as the owners did not pick up there phones. I spoke to the owner and he refused to return us our money. He implied my husband and I miss understand even though he was not present during the sale. I was not allowed to speak to the wife who "sold" us the set which I believe is very inappropriate. I would understand if a customer was being rude and disrespectful to her but I am very respectful and would never yell or say anything inappropriate to any employee. The moral of the story is we still need to go buy couches elsewhere. We have a store credit with a business that does not own up to what they say. I am basically forced to do business with a company that lacks communicate skills and organization. Train your employees to communicate appropriately because communicate is key in their role. (Also, the owners wife stated the set would take 2 to 3 weeks max to arrive and it took 11 weeks to arrive.)

My wife and I spent the better part of two weekends looking for a bedroom set that had very specific criteria (hardwood, sturdy, storage, and 24" or 26" nightstands). We went all over Grand Rapids, Holland, and Grand Haven. This store wasn't even on our radar, but while leaving another store we saw the sign for The FMW and popped in. Abby greeted us immediately and offered a helping hand if we needed. There was no pressure, no typical sales gimmicks, and no wasted time.After countless wasted hours, the perfect bedroom set was right there on the showroom floor. Went and found Abby, and 20 minutes later we were out of there with the bedroom set purchased. About 10 days later, the team arrived at my home (in the POURING RAIN!) to deliver and assemble the bedroom. The team was professional but also laid back and courteous. They worked with me on placing the furniture exactly where and how I wanted, and even put my mattress on. They took the time to make sure the electric was hooked up and that the built in touch lights worked as intended.I couldn't be happier with our purchase and can't recommend The FMW or Abby any higher. Thanks for a job well done. Customer service seems to be a thing of the past, but these guys really got the job done from start to finish.

Great people, helpful instead of pushy, let you browse unassisted if that's what you are looking for and cheaper than an Ashley Homestore. Seems like really nice furniture. Haven't received it yet to see the quality.
