Under remodeling. Slim pickings for food and a temporary trailer out front for a bathroom.
Staff seems annoyed and unfriendly. We went across the street to the Speedway instead.

DEISEL STOLEN 08/03!!! Purchased a reserved spot 08/03 because the general parking is super tight and I was worried someone might hit me trying to get in next to me. Got one of the reserved spots right next to the road. Around 2200 I got an alert of rapid fuel loss on my reefer, but, I took a melatonin so I was sleeping hard and didn’t get it till midnight . Got up to check it out and sure enough, the reefer tank was on mty. They also got into my driver side tank because the cap was on wrong. Luckily I didn’t have a load at the time and the reefer was off.
The store is undergoing renovations so it’s a bit of a cluster in there but the showers are operational and clean. Men’s room is currently a portable at the front of the store but it was clean too. Not to bad of a store but I don’t think I’ll stop overnight again.

Do not stop here. Very small run down washrooms, no food, very limited parking. Better off stopping anywhere else.

Hometown Pilot. However, reserved parking needs to be nullified during construction, especially when the construction company has taken over 1/2 of the available stalls. 7/15/2025 still that way

I visited this store today 06/29/25 around 17:30 I was looking for coffee but everything was cleaned and empty and there was no coffee serve at all and I asked the cashier to make sure no coffee and she got angry and pieced off and said I will be there! Okay I waited over ten minutes but she was not interested to make coffee she was alone then I left without my coffee

What a joke. Under remodel so the only thing you can do is park apparently. No food. No fuel. No bathrooms.

Warning! Biggest fuel ripoff in West Michigan. Diesel fuel price $3.95 a gallon across the street at Speedway $3.27. It would have cost me $19.00 more to fill my tank at Pilot.

One of the worst pilots in the country (actually in North America because I haven’t seen one this bad in Canada either). It’s tiny, some of the staff is rude (not all of them some were pretty nice). The layout for parking is terrible, and they didn’t have showers or laundry. I understand they were under renovation but they could’ve brought in one of those event shower trailers and park it out back during the renovation. Imagine driving all day and finally stopping for the night thinking you’re gonna get a nice refreshing shower to find out they didn’t have any. That lack of attention to detail show how little they care about their customers in this location. I’ve seen other Js bring in those shower trailers during renovation as to continue to offer excellent service to their customers. Honestly if you have the option to drive further to another J (if you’re not out of hours) or can afford to stop at one before this one, just do that. Or stop at a Love’s I don’t know. Anything but this one.

The gas island was in good order, the bathroom was clean, and the cashier was friendly. This was a good experience.

I came up to town from West Virginia for the Tulip Festival and to visit friends, with my partner. We stayed the night at the Pilot the first night we showed up which was Wednesday night and then again last night. Those were the only nights we stayed there. My friend gave me a beautiful handmade gift on Friday, so this morning, I decided to make her a necklace which I spent four hours making while we sat in our van in a parking spot along the far edge of the parking lot at Pilot. Around 4:30pm, I moved the van to a parking spot in front of the building where we ate some food that my partner heated up in the microwave and I gathered/organized my beads and crystals after finishing the necklace. I hadn’t fixed my hair yet, so I went into the restroom to put my hair up into a bun (which I struggle with), and after five or ten minutes, a man approached me, while I was standing in front of the mirror that is next to the exit of the restroom, and asked if that was my black van (it’s a dodge grand caravan) parked outside. I told him yes, and he told me that my boyfriend was waiting for me. This man wasn’t wearing a name tag or anything that signified he worked for Pilot, so I asked if my partner told him to come get me. He said, “no, but the cops are one the way.” I immediately panicked and quickly exited the store, as I assumed a dog had attacked ours because I couldn’t think of any other reason why there would be a problem. As soon as I see my partner, he tells me that a man with the same description told him to leave because cops were on their way, after pounding on the window of the passenger side door of my van while my partner was focused on his MacBook. My partner had told him that I was in the bathroom, and the man said, “we’ll see who gets here first - your girlfriend or the cops.” In my ten years of traveling all over the country, I’ve never been treated with so much judgement and been told to leave a place where there were several vans with covered windows in their parking lot. Other people had been there all day too, and I felt incredibly discriminated against. It may not be the nicest van, but it runs, and I drive for a living. We felt safe and comfortable spending part of the day there after waking up today, until we were treated like scum. I didn’t think we were bothering anyone by simply existing, and it makes me view the city of Holland in a drastically different light. I was told by my friend that the bum population is really bad, but I have WV plates, and again, we only spent two nights there, and it wasn’t two nights in a row. They judged us on our casual, hippy, alternative style. We have tattoos and I have some dreadlocks in my hair, but we look like any of my non-bum friends in Michigan. Who was that guy and why wouldn’t you at least warn us before calling the cops? You could have told us that we’ve been there too long, and we would have happily left sooner, but the way this was handled was very unsettling and triggering for us. Please consider talking to someone and actually finding out why they are there, before wasting the time of law enforcement, and maybe consider having a female employee approach a woman in the women’s restroom. That would also be helpful. I’ll be sure to never spend any money or time at your establishment again.
