Disappointed! I’ve been a patient with HFP for over 35 years. I called to reschedule an appointment 48 hours before the set time. Was called back and told I can’t reschedule and I should check my mail because my DR was leaving the practice and they will not transfer me to a different DR in the practice. I then received a letter in the mail that I did a no call no show and to call and reschedule my appointment. The office staff seems to be completely unorganized, rude and lacks empathy for patients. It’s so disappointing that this place is going downhill. I’m hoping the multiple 1 star reviews gives them opportunities to strive to be better and get back to caring for people. It’s been problematic for the past few years and my hope is that they do better. Do better.

Whatever you do, DO NOT go here. There's a reason they only have 2 stars. My appointments have been rescheduled 4 times now. I got a phone call last month about my upcoming appointment December 26th advising me the doctor will be out of the country & we rescheduled for January. I now get a phone call today from Jacqueline, who tells me the SAME EXACT THING the last representative told me, but the next appointment isn't until February! I told Jacqueline I already spoke with someone and rescheduled it for January 9th, but she says they have no record of it. I have been waiting 4 months now to see this doctor. And now they want me to wait another 2 months!?!? I NEED to see a doctor. But the staff, doctor's, nobody cares about you as a patient, all this place cares about is money and it shows. After I told Jacqueline nevermind I will look into other doctors in the area, she said 'okay, I don't care have a great day.' You're just a money tag to them. Disgusting, awful place.

I have had problems for the last 2 yrs at least. Called once when my blood pressure was 200/100(Something) and was told maybe you need to go to emergency room! What is a primary doctor for if you can't at least get information when you need it! And don't get me started on the prescription part, that is a fiasco in its self. After having to go out of the country with all my meds, I'm finding a new doctor!!

Terrible employment and patient experience! The management in that office is going to get that practice shut down at this rate. Office is only still open because everybody loves Dr. Wellemeyer. Patients are upset with staff performance or waiting times because they have no idea who the person is that the staff report to. You cannot stand up for yourself or choose to do what's right without fear of losing your job. The office manager is TERRIBLE but McLaren HR excuses her behavior. Maybe they will realize SHE is the common denominator once that practice is permanently closed. I was made to do things outside of what my license allows and was told to do things like falsifying dates on the sharps containers to keep them from expiring so quickly so they did not have to purchase more. Never again will I work for a place who instills fear in me for doing what is right or any place of employment who requires tasks of me that put my license in jeopardy.

I've never wrote a review before but I felt like this one needed it. I have never had a worse experience with doctors in my entire life. I never get my medication on time or when I need it. I've had 3 doctors quit as soon as I'm finally able to see them which usually takes months to even get an appointment if they even answer the phone. Misdiagnosed me twice saying I had the flu when in reality had to go the the hospital to get surgery because my gallbladder didn't work at all. I am over this place, if I could give 0 stars I would. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

One of the worst excuses for a doctors office I’ve ever seen. The office staff and frankly anyone besides the actual doctors are completely ignorant, lazy, and rude. I tried to get a prescription refill for 2 weeks via phone - they said they gave my doctor the message and eventually I ran out of medication. I was suffering severe symptoms from not having my medication after calling at least once a day for two weeks. I had the pharmacy call as well. I finally went in and practically shoved the prescription bottle in some girls face and then and ONLY then did I get a refill. Of a medication I’ve been on for 6+ years. Don’t ever expect a call back about anything, don’t ever expect any message to get delivered to your doctor. When you go for an appointment plan at LEAST an extra hour as you WILL be there way past your appointment time. The doctors are aware of how horrible their staff is but they say there’s nothing they can do about it. So McLaren, maybe you will eventually do something about the piss poor management of this office. Horrible horrible HORRIBLE.

This office can’t keep doctors! I’ve seen four primary docs (and I liked them) since I’ve been here because they all leave. Tells you something. This last one resigned and I get a letter stating that they aren’t keeping any of his patients, and gave two other office referrals…ummm I’ve been a patient for years and I’m getting kicked out all of a sudden? I’m in the middle of figuring out some medication issues so that’s amazing patient service. Not to mention the last time I called for med refills they took forever and I ended up in the ER for withdrawals (that they didn’t tell me were possible). The clinics they referred me to (more of a drive for me now, thanks) are both part of the hospital and residency program. Not a family practice at all and can’t imagine they even remember anyone they see. Just called the referred office and they said I have to come in and fill out an hours worth of paperwork before they will even schedule anything. And to come in and pick up the paperwork during a couple blocks of times M-Th, not available online, and to come back another time to drop it off. Super.

RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!If negative stars were an option that’s what they would get and the best they deserve.They do not have time for current patients but for some reason they are still taking new patients (6 month wait at minimum for current patients). They care about money not people. I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer but I will be half way through treatment by the time they can get me in to see my doctor. Called just to get a refill and that didn’t happen. I’ve been forced to use Patient Care Central and Urgent care like family doctors. Thank God my life doesn’t depend on Holt Family Practice because I’m confident I would be dead. FIND A DIFFERENT DOCTOR! Your life may depend on it. It’s been like this since trash McLaren took over.Contact you?! This must be a joke. You idiots called 2 weeks before an appointment that I had scheduled 6 months prior (6 months was the soonest you had) to tell me you needed to reschedule. The miserable woman who called got an attitude when she said they would have to schedule for over a month later and acted as if it was my fault she had to work that day. 1 week before the new appointment I get a phone call that they will be canceling my appointment because Dr Haynes quit (I’m surprised he lasted as long as he did). Not only did they cancel the appointment but they told me that there were no openings so I will need to find a new doctor. I’ve been a patient for over 30yrs, I have epilepsy, asthma, severe allergies (epipen needed), high blood pressure, stroke risk and a handful of other health issues that require constant medication and care. Thank God I was able to get in at Patient Central, who follow the oath they took and see the importance in keeping people alive, so I didn’t have a major medical emergency because of this practices negligence in my care as it is extremely dangerous to not have my medications. This practice should be shut down immediately before they kill people, if they haven’t already. Malpractice, malpractice, malpractice!!! I find it hard to believe there are no lawsuits. McLaren has done nothing but ruin every hospital and practice it gets involved with. Your response is purely to try and recover from your well earned 1 star ratings. Way to give more effort pretending to care than actually caring for your patients.

If negative stars were an option... Tried switching to holt family practice and they have rescheduled 4 times and come to my appointment today and the Dr is leaving the practice so they cancelled my appointment without me knowing and none of the other Drs will take me. I've had 4 appointments set up since February and all have either been rescheduled or cancelled for no reason.wasted my time and sick pay from work...

This is the biggest joke of a medical office that I have ever had to deal with. Appointments are NEVER on time. They don’t give any helpful advice. They billed my insurance incorrectly and when I called to get it figured out, they said it was taken care of and now I’m in collection over it and had to pay out of pocket to avoid any further action. Horrible office and super incompetent. Go anywhere else.

Currently waiting for an hour and haven't seen the doctor. The waiting room was completely empty when we arrived. We were brought to a room and haven't seen anyone for 45 minutes. This is a joke.Edit: after being left waiting for an hour and a half we asked for our daughter's immunization records because she is starting school next fall, we were told we would need to come back because they were "done for the day" even though the office didn't close for another 15 minutes.

Discharged me for dates when they changed them randomly and sent me incorrect appointment information to my mailing address. Was left without a primary care provider because they are now refusing to see me or schedule appointments, not to mention no Mclaren Doctor will see me locally now because of them. The Doctor was condescending multiple times at the last visit I had about the incident and extremely rude. Also, have had plenty of other problems with this practice.

This is the worst doctors office I've ever been to. Nothing but problems. Sometimes it takes weeks to get prescription refills. Takes forever to see a doctor. Called in June/July to schedule a physical for October. Was told they can't get me in until December 30th. Got a call today(Dec. 29th) that the doctor is sick, so my appointment is canceled. Was told that they will TRY to get me in before July. This isn't health care. From what I understand, this was a very good practice at one time. The doctor there is good, if you can get in. But I will be looking for a new doctor.

Great doctors & medical staff. But, I spent close to 2 weeks trying to get a referral for surgery the beginning of the year. Skip forward to now, and I need prescription refills and once again, nothing is done in a timely fashion. Going on a week of leaving VMs for the refill line.Will be looking for a new family doctor

Worst ever! Sent me to urgent care which sent me to a podiatrist. Then when I finally got ahold of my doctor and he called in prescription for me no one called from the office to tell me. Waited 1.5 hours for appointment that lasted 5 minutes. So done with this place.
