I was with Dr. Thompson since her days working at the Sparrow annex near MSU. I saw only PA's for years and they were always nice and compassionate. I saw Dr. Thompson only once there, right before Sparrow discontinued providing a doctor at that location, and Dr. Thompson was very rude to me. I chalked it up to the Sparrow situation. I followed her to her current location and practice where I no longer saw PA's. After numerous issues with an untrained staff and more occasions where Dr. Thompson was rude to me, I finally decided to move on to a new doctor for some very serious medical issues I have in which I need a caring and dedicated physician. I am not sure if Dr.Thompson dislikes males, me, or whether she is just an irritable person, but, I need a doctor who cares about me. Choose your doctor wisely.

Go here if you want them to not take vitals on an infant correctly, and mom shame you for not being able to make every appointment because you’re a young mom in cosmetology school, and let your kids suffer for months AND argue with you for a week about getting a referral. Best of all they told me not to use portal because they won’t answer me anymore because I was persistent on getting the referral, told me to find a new primary care provider, and they have let my daughter go for months with reoccurring sinus issues that another specialist said she needed to be referred to an ENT knowing she has breathing issues and said her tonsils are enlarged but they gave me a hard time about getting the referral.

I recently had an annual physical and was so happy seeing Dr. Thompson. She was thorough and answered all my questions. I highly recommend her. Her staff were excellent too. !

As a recently retired/disabled healthcare professional, I would advise steering clear of Dr Thompson and her practice. Something is terribly wrong there and she seems to pick and choose which patients she wants to help and “save” and which she doesn’t. I finally left after almost 5 yrs under her care. I had an abnormal ECG in 2020 as part of a preop visit, high cholesterol that was shrugged off, repeatedly high glucose on labs and not once had an AIC suggested, and had diagnoses added to my chart without explanation or mention. When I lost 25 lbs it wasn’t even acknowledged or mentioned (it was intentional and I was looking forward to the visit). All the years I brought my meds to my physical as instructed they never asked to see them. Then, this last year when I forgot I was told they would not be re-filled until I physically brought them in even though they were all up-to-date online.I had phone arguments with staff (Mary) over med changes that didn’t make sense, and disability paperwork that Dr Thompson flat out refused to address even with offers of a visit to do so (I didn’t really care but arguing about it was ridiculous and unprofessional).I finally left and, after another abnormal ECG, in which I found out it was the second since Dr Thompson’s in 2020 (!), I was sent to a cardiologist and told I may have suffered a silent anterior wall MI (heart attack). They suggested I should be on statins for my high cholesterol and many tests have been ordered. My new PCP also ordered an A1C recently and I’m pre diabetic. I was told the stage 2 kidney disease added to my chart without explanation by Dr Thompson and never supported by labs was unfounded. I’ll stop there.Accolades to Nicole the NP who is a gem if she’s still there. There are also many on the supporting staff that are kind and professional. I feel bad they have to work in such a toxic environment. Pamela Thompson is a bright doctor with good diagnostic skills when she wants to use them, but beware if she doesn’t.

Would give a zero. My first interaction with Dr.Pamela Thompson was not a good one’ I felt rushed’ she isolated my problem to one thing when it was more than one thing’ she did not take the time to listen she kept interrupting me when I spoke & over talking me’ I found alot of typo’s and untrue things in visit summary which are legal documents that posted on my chart after I left the visit. Which obviously displays she was rushing’ I don’t think she cared about my background or getting to know me as a person to develop my care plan’ My experience with her was not good. She couldn’t remember things from our last visit & would argue or debate about it. This to me is not a good doctor or not one I would suggest. Bedside manner is not good’ attentiveness not good’ understanding the patient is an individual & you need to have compassion for who they are to treat them and she did not. Would NOT recommend

Excellent care. Dr. Thompson is brilliant and frank. She knows her stuff inside out, she is empathetic and very observant, she has apparently studied different kinds of preventive care and medicine, her staff is kind and intelligent, and her team of providers is top notch. I've been with them more than 10 years.

I have been going here since 2010. I must say I don’t go o the doctors often. I moved out of state 2016 but continued to keep seeing Dr Thompson as it was hard finding a new Dr in TN. Never been late in all the years I’ve been a patient. Today 12-27-2019, I was late because my flight landed in flint bishop 11:15am, went to car rental to get reserved vehicle and the wait for a car, even though I had reservations, was 1.5 hours. I called the office saying I would be late and explained what happened. I was told the office manager said Dr Thompson would not be able to see me. I pleaded saying I bought a one way ticket, $350, had my daughter drive down with my mom so we can drive back to TN to cut cost of flight. I pretty much arranged this entire two day trip here for this appointment. When I received the car at 12:30pm, I rushed from flint airport to Dr Thompson office. Made it at 1:27pm. Was told they would not see me. There were no patients in the waiting room, no cars in the parking lot except workers. Was told another patient is on their way and they would not be able to do all she needed to do. I am due for my two year annual physical and because I was 27 minutes late, she refused to see me after being a patient all these years, and for something that could be life and death. Not to mention the travel and expense I paid trying to get here. I am beyond disappointed to the point of crying. Now I have to find a doctor in my new state and hope they can get me in soon and pray everything is fine. I pray none of the staff, Dr Thompson, or anyone they care about have to experience something like this. I am trying my best to just stay positive but this is causing me to have a migraine, that she knows I have and will not complete my paperwork for work, nor can I get medication until she see me but refused to see me because I got here at 1:27pm instead of 1:00pm. I have to drive back to TN in the morning not accomplishing what I came here for. I would not recommend this office because they are not considerate, kind, nor empathic. They lady at the front desk with the short hair was kind with her tone and seemed empathetic, but Dr Thompson and the office manager were not.
