I am shocked with all of the bad reviews, Ferrell Gas offered us much better prices than competitors and was much kinder. The delivery came two days earlier than scheduled, and they addressed a leak that our previous provider refused to acknowledge. I would highly recommend them

Knowing what I know now I would’ve never used this company. I bought a home two years ago with an existing propane tank belonging to Ferrell gas. It was gigantic and very very old. Ferrellgas said it was fine with no leaks, but that was not true. It leaked and I only understood this by how fast the gas was being used. They blamed it on my home, which was not true. I had an independent company come and check the tank and it was leaking horribly. It was only at that time that they came and switched the tanks out. I had still, however, paid for that gas.Months ago I smelled gas at the tank. I called Ferrellgas and let them know that I smelled gas at the tank only and never in my home. They came out, filled my tank and never said anything about the leak. Fast-forward to a few months later and the leak was still present. I called on a Friday afternoon to pay my bill, have more gas delivered ( BECAUSE IT WAS LEAKING) and asked again that they check the tank. I came home this evening, and my gas was shut off because the tank had indeed been leaking. (FOR MONTHS) They didn’t fix the leak. They shut off my gas and left for the weekend. It’s Friday night and I am sitting here with no heat and was just informed that no one will be out until Monday. The “emergency services” representatives treated me horribly, to the point that I wonder why they even have what they refer to as “emergency services“I told them to either come and get my heat on this evening or to come and get their tank off of my property.I DO NOT recommend this company. The only time I have ever received kind and courteous, service was when I was paying the bill. The rest of it has been an absolute, ridiculous nightmare.I suggest you call anyone other than ferrellgas.

I'm a chronically ill 40 yr old woman who started renting a home back in October 2023. The home I'm renting has a 500 gallon propane tank on the property. The tank had 30% propane left in it. I'm on disability and don't have a ot of money after rent and bills. I called to get the account in my name from the previous owner. The lady I spoke with said that the previous owner needed to call and take care of a $178.00 balance. I had the previous owner call and they said they couldn't put the account in my name. It was 3 months of this game. I got a hold of someone who finally put the account in my name. I noticed a smell of in the house that smelled like gas and contacted Ferrell gas the lady I spoke to said I needed to go outside and shut it off. I explained I'm not comfortable messing with the tank and they need to send some one out to handle it. I'm going through chemotherapy 5 days a week and I live alone. I have no family or friends. I'm 64 pounds and I have arthritis and a huge list of diagnosis, the lady says if I don't turn it off outside I'll be charged all these different fees. I did turn my furnace off inside. But she kept insisting I go outside to turn the tank off. I said I couldn't. Then I hung up tried calling back to speak to someone else. 20 minutes later a Ferrell gas truck pulled in my yard and I explained to the driver I'm not comfortable messing with the tank. He said that was his job. Not mine. He put some sealant around the cap then left. I contacted an energy assistant program found out I qualify for help filling the propane tank. Kathryn from Ferrell gas said it would be delivered in 2 days because someone paid for the 2 day delivery fee which was an extra $200.00 after 2 days no propane. I called again and the lady says it'll be 3 to 12 days for delivery. I told her to refund the person money thar paid for the 2 day delivery fee. At 630 am the next day I get a call from an unknown number, I answered it was alex from Ferrell gas. He was 15 minutes away he came and filled the propane tank. I'm extremely grateful ? but I did sit in my bedroom for almost 2 months with a space heater because I couldn't afford to fill my tank. And they kept jerking me around about putting the account in my name! This company is a nightmare and I know I'm extremely blessed to have it filled but they change the days that they'll be delivering and I know a lot of people have auto fill and they still don't get their propane for weeks sometimes months. The last lady i spoke with said that theyre only delivering 2 days a week to residents. HorribleThe tank at my home is a rental tank from Ferrell gasAfter this winter I'll be having them come get their tank and go through either Hamilton or someone else. Prayers for everyone who's gone through hell with this company its ridiculous!

They let you run out of gas and be without heat. When you tell them you are out of gas and its 0⁰F outside with a snowstorm coming through and another on the way, they politely let you know that it'll be 2-3 weeks before they can deliver, and there is no way to expidite the delivery. Since i didnt want to run out of gas again, I switched to auto fill, only to have my tank drained to 20% with no fill coming. Had to order it myself and wait the 2-3 weeks WHILE SIGNED UP FOR AUTO FILL. Now that the winter has passed, my tank is at 40% and NOW these guys have the audacity to show up on their own, charging me for gas that I don't need. Worst customer service I have ever recieved in my life. My short time as a customer (4 months) has shown me that I'd be better off switching to a different propane company.TL;DR: Do not use ferellgas. They do not care about their customers.

I have always had good service with Ferrellgas. There drivers are easy to work with, no complaints at all.

Had terrible customer service since Ferrel switch to an 888 phone number and big corporate approach. Most recently, we didn’t realize how low our tank had gotten and ran out of propane in a Michigan winter. Called and was told there was no expedited service options even for an emergency increased fee which we would have happily paid. The soonest they could guarantee delivery was 10 days.So we found a locally owned business who brought a new tank out and a partial fill the same day with much better service. Then I had to call Ferrell twice, be put on hold, get disconnected, call again and ask a bunch of questions just to cancel a fill and get a refund and still was never offered any other options.

Pretty messed up, told Ferrellgas we were below 5% gas and I have a 5 month pregnant wife at home and we need gas right away. But no they want 150$ to deliver any gas sooner than 2 weeks. Worst gas company out there advise anyone to go somewhere else if they have the option.

Just bought a new home in Fowlerville. The previous homeowner had an account with Ferrellgas and had switched to Corrigan shortly before the purchase. Its now been two weeks with numerous phone calls and emails trying to get Ferrellgas to come and get their eyesore of a propane tank. Hey Ferrellgas, come get your tank off my property.

Tried to proactively schedule a fill. Was told since we weren't below the threshold (believe it's 35%) that they would charge us for the difference regardless (i.e. 65% fill). We understood, but of course we didn't want to pay for something we didn't get so we elected to wait.Rescheduled and waited once we hit the delivery threshold. 2 weeks later: no delivery. When we called, we learned they were so far behind that we had to pay $200 extra to get priority delivery because they still had no idea when they could deliver and we were at risk of running out.Scheduled and paid for a pick up 3/1. Called routinely for updates- the ladies we spoke to were great...they just couldn't help us when it came to setting expectations as to when our delivery might take place.Per our online account, notes say it would be delivered by today....we're now at 2% and they still don't know when they will get to us. Since they no longer offer priority delivery we're basically just screwed...Since we will likely run out before they get around to us, will be switching companies if we don't get our delivery today.

If I could leave less than one star i would. I have never disliked a company more than FerrelGas. Their customer service is trash and the only thing that makes this look better is the actual service they are supposed to provide. I have lived in my new home for six months and have had to call to badger then to make a delivery 3/4 times, once even having to call the emergency number due to running out of fuel after they missed their delivery window.I am again running low with fuel, in the dead of winter, and again without refill after calling for order more than two weeks ago. The customer service team cannot tell me when they will be able to deliver but will “memo” my concerns which obviously will be met with as much care as anything else this terrible company does. Terrible company, if in a position do NOT ever pick this company!

This is a terrible company. My 86 yr old mother was in the hospital and I went to her house to get it ready for her to come home and gas had been delivered 1 month ago but I checked anyway and it was on almost 0. I knew she had just sent them $1000 and she had been a customer for 40 yrs. It was on a Saturday and I tried to get through on the emergency line and was on hold for 3 hrs. I called back and left a message and they called me back. I explained the situation and asked for an emergency delivery. They said they could not deliver for 10 days . They gave all kinds of excuses why they could not deliver. They did not care that shee was 86, had been a customer for 40 yrs or that her pipes were going to bust and she was going to freeze to death.. The temp was going to be 0 that night. I talked to the Manager Jennifer Obridevick she would not bend or help in any way. I offered to pay extra or whatever she needed to get gas out there. No help.

Terrible customer service. Called on Jan 28th after putting an online request in 2 days prior and let them know that our tank was at 20%. Was told it would be 7-10 days for delivery, well 10 days is tomorrow and now we’re out of propane. Called the emergency line and was told too bad, they’ll be out Monday (2 days from now and 11 days from the day we called). We will never again use or recommend this company.
