Vehicle computer says transmission fluid is low and/or worn. Ancillary work on rear wheel sensor possible. Appt to see Nick next week. Will update Post afterward.Praying reviews complaining of parts markups can be dispelled, as well as worry I'm not sold a larger job on wheel sensor issue if unnecessary.I was asked to supply BMW fluid for a different vehicle @ a different shop not long ago. Nick didn't mention the need for me to do so here, but prices are easily compared via Amazon.Given their expertise as a transmission shop I'm looking forward to fast & thorough work from a specialist!

Terrible customer service and quite pricey. Would not ever deal with this company again. The manager is quite rude and is obviously not trying to be helpful or friendly.Edit: I did not lie about how much fluid I installed and it was slipping when I got it back. I called and the guy who answered the phone told me to bring the truck in and when I did I was told the transmission was junk and the fluid smelled burnt and that couldn't be because it was low. This was the employee's words not mine. I was told you were going to take the trans out and see what the problem was. I never heard anything for almost a week. I ended up calling and was told that it was just low on fluid and somehow that just ended up fixing all my issues. That didn't line up with what I was previously told by a different employee from this place. My response is Nick is not someone who you would want to do business with.

I had problems with gear shifting and had to tow my vehicle to my usual auto body mechanic. After waiting a few days for an answer, it turned out my transfer case needed replacing and unfortunately the shop did not do transmission work. Fortunately, they referred me to Hudsonville Transmission with a glowing review and they guys there do not disappoint! I had my vehicle towed there on a Friday evening and got a call the following Monday confirming the problem was my transfer case. I was told my vehicle would be done at the end of the week, but the very next day I got a call saying it was ready to be picked up. I’m very grateful for the excellent customer service, knowledge, and communication Hudsonville Transmission gave me. My bill was also extremely fair and reasonable. Can’t thank you guys enough!

I was fine with the labor costs, but charging $1000 for $350 worth of parts at autozone on top of the $500 labor was taking advantage of someone that just needed a running car to get to work. Cannot recommend people that are willing to rob their customers.

Have taken my car here for work many times over the years. The team is always helpful, do a great job, and stand behind their work. I've even purchased a couple vehicles from Hudsonville Transmission, and they are a great value for what you're getting.

I had a transmission issue and went there and asked them to diagnose what the issue was and he took apart my transmission diagnosed it and put it back together and I asked how much it will cost and he said nothing and that he didn’t actually do anything to my car so I shouldn’t have to pay!! He is very nice and puts customer back in service. Another dealership was trying to get me to pay $600. 5* would recommendService: Transmission

So in no way am I dissatisfied with the way my truck is driving after the rebuild they did on my transmission (which they had my car for almost 3 weeks) I'm writing this review to make people aware of the lack of customer service and lack of accountability I experienced while I received my truck back with issues I didn't have before. So after about 2 weeks my truck threw a low oil level alert so I topped it off and just blew it off as burnt oil it was low about a quart but after the second time it came back on (about 2 weeks later) I called hudsonville and asked if they could look at it. As they were the last to work on the vehicle maybe something was left loose or just a honest mistake was made during re-installation of my trans. About 3 days later I get a call saying my rear main seal is leaking which mind you is the seal where the crankshaft in back of the motor meets the transmission (which wasn't leaking before but is leaking now after my transmission was removed and rebuilt) and is gonna cost me an additional "$900 dollars" he said on top of the $4000 I just paid them for the rebuild. When ask why I'm being charged because I do have warranty (2yrs they say) his direct quote was "it's not covered because it's not part of the transmission" my response was "well it wasnt leaking before you guys pulled my trans so could have it been damaged during installation" and "if it was leaking before why wouldnt you guys atleast suggest I get it replaced while you have my trans out and it's accessible" all I got was well it isn't covered and we can do it for $900 which I honestly didn't have at the moment and if they weren't gonna atleast be reasonable about this I can only imagine if I have to bring it in for warranty work. At the end of the day I end up just picking up my truck and now I'm searching for another mechanic to help me fix the damage. So just be mindful that if you deal with this business just be on your toes and 2 steps ahead im hoping my trans lasts the rest of my trucks life because im honestly not looking forward to trying to get them to honor the warranty so hopefully you guys read this in time and just shop around before taking your vehicle here and if you know of any straight up and honest mechanics please let me know I will do the same. Good Luck and have a great dayService: Transmission

Brought our 2011 Suburban in for a rear main seal oil leak & they found even more oil leaks & fixed them. Although they forgot to check the air condtioningBut overall these guys are good with competitive pricing & quick turnaround.Brought my great niece's 2011 Regal in. Other mechanic said rear main seal leaked. Front crank seal leaked & rockerarm cover leaked. But the other mechanic was going on vacation& wouldn't be able to get to it for a few weeks maybe more. The guys at Hudsonville Transmission knew exactly what was causing the issue a hole that drained oil from the upper part of the engine to the lower part was designed to small & got Carboned up creating to much pressure in the engine. They enlarged the hole, replaced the front crank seal & rocker arm cover gasket & told me since they relieved the over pressure situation the rear main seal no longer leaked saving me big bucks that I used to fave a fuel pump seal fixed. Highly recommend these guys. They're my go to mechanics form here on. Oh & they confirmed the car did have l new timing chains in it & they checked the antifreeze condition since it was so close to the winter coming. These guys are A1

Go to Google to see reviews and all 5-Star except the two below. I’m sure there is much more to both their stories. They rebuilt my transmission and were the only shop to explain the different costs and what I was getting for my money. Even checked my transfer case at no charge.

Nick worked hard to repair our Nissan. He put in a lot of time and went out of his way to make the repair excellent. This business operates like no other business we have experienced in years. Integrity, time, and honesty was high quality and we’re grateful that because of the hard work, we can continue driving our vehicle . Thank you Nick and may Hudsonville Transmission have many years of continued success.Service: Transmission

Had my trans rebuilt there went through Nick. Trans is 100 times worse than when they rebuilt it, took it back they opened it up and said they could not see anything to cause the excessively loud noise. So I put it back in and drove it down and took the builder(Ben) for a ride he agreed there was something wrong, I asked him to get with Nick and let me know what they were going do? I haven't heard anything in a couple weeks so I'm trying to purchase another trans from another shop and would like Nick to do the right thing and offer me my money back.
