This is one of the BIGGEST JOKES of a grocery store that I’ve ever been to. So very poorly managed. Unfortunately, it’s the only grocery store in Imlay City and apparently the only one that there will ever be. I think corporate needs to make a few trips to this store and get it straightened out. What a shame.

I find staff at this store to typically be friendly. I had one cashier in particular that was exceptional and great customer service. I think her name was Candace. Super pleasant especially after a very long work week for me. Thank you for your kind words and beautiful smile.

If the bottle return closes at 9 pm, then why was it accessible to me at 9:30?
WELL, open arriving, I walked right in the front door of Kroger and right into the bottle room ( I never saw a sign).
I, mind you, did not remove any baracade (carts or anything) nor ativate any machines (if a customer can even do that). The machines were on and active.
Then a worker came in, told me that the room was closed at 9, that he had closed the area off and the machines we off.... 🤔 Then he told me I could proceed with my return. Then, he also told me I could not redeem any of my slips until I returned on my next trip. THAT IS WHAT THAT TRIP WAS TO RETURN BOTTLES.
Around the time I was done, about 10 mins to 10 pm (closing time), a different worker came in and asked me if I was almost done. 🤷🏽♂️
Thanks for making me feel like I was bothering your workers and being an inconvenience to your store. I appreciate the anxiety.

As iI walked out a girl working was standing there watching a man doing self check out with many items with 2 kids, and the guy working with her was on his cell phone. Bet that man could have used a cashier to help him check out.
***PLUS, I live 20 mins away. Of course, when the worker said I could do my return, I finished. I wasn't going to just leave, I drove all that way there and dragged my bottles inside***
2 Stars because I shop here with not many other options around.
*** UPDATE 5 ☆*** Talked to store Mgr Randy. He said that he will adress the issues that have came about.

It literally never fails. I always have an issue at Kroger, any Kroger really but this one specifically. Good luck in the bottle room. I went to the service desk to ask for help and the attitude that I received. The employees are so incredibly rude here. Kroger could care less about their employees or customers and it shows

Normally I like Kroger, but I really dislike having my potato chips all smashed. Have you watched the potato chip stock girl throwing the chips on the shelf? She really gets the job done fast, but crushes all the chips.

The Kroger Imlay pharmacy team is outstanding. They are taking the prescriptions business from 3 local Rite Aids that are closing so it's insanely busy.
They still managed to get my scripts transferred fast and on time, even when I needed an urgent refill due to my mistake. Tech Ms. Carol and Pharmacist Ms. Hazar handle it all with a smile!

I love kroger in Imlay City. Great prices and deals. Employees are helpful and kind. I enjoy shopping there because it's quiet and not crowded. I appreciate that they still have cashiers to check you out and bag your groceries. After a long week it's great to get some help with my groceries. It might be a small jester but it means the world to me.

Not only did they not give me a receipt, but when I asked the manager she said it was impossible and that I didnt pay for the items. Then when I got the digital receipt they claimed that I must have lost the items. When I asked them to check the line I was in, they said they did, but then they admitted they didn't know what line or cashier I had used. Totally unprofessional and probably just theft.

My experience in Kroger went well. While the store was moderately busy, lines at the registers were short. Plenty of cashiers not much wait. I have an encounter as I was leaving I ask a worker to move a cart. She rudely replied that my cart would not fit, and walked away. I'm disabled and had a motor cart they have there.
