Drost's Chocolates is a quaint store offering amazing and addictive chocolate, fudge, truffles, and creams using original family recipes. The atmosphere is welcoming with nicely designed displays and antique cash registers. The business also serves excellent, locally made, hand-dipped ice cream year-round, considered by many to be the best ice cream around. Visitors note the ice cream is good, with one highlighting excellent chocolate ice cream. The location provides plenty of outdoor seating alongside a patio and gorgeous flowers, with improvements like additional parking and wheelchair access. While sometimes there is a line, customers find the experience worth it for the high-quality treats and charming, old-timey setting.
The atmosphere and staff are both great, and from my memories of previous visits, the chocolate side of things is great. HOWEVER, was a bit disappointed in the ice cream experience…my chocolate waffle cone didn’t taste fresh, and the chocolate seemed a bit waxy. Quite pricey; portion size was great, though!

Amazing! On vacation we try ice cream shops every day and this is one of the best (my vote was best) we've had over 15 years of family trips! Also best compared to shops back home. Wish we found it on our first day of the trip.
