The Academy will stand proudly on their platform of prioritizing mental health and safety in their weekly newsletter, but at the end of the day, the image of the school and liability protection will, without question, be put above the safety and well-being of your child. After repeated requests for mental health support/help were brushed off and ignored, and an escalation in behavior, zero accountability was taken by the school and a CHILD was made the "fall guy." Removing my child from the toxic culture, administration included, trumps the long-standing grief and heartbreak over the loss of their incredible arts program.

Racist school that thinks poor students are disposable. Went to school there my freshman and sophomore year. One red-headed individual reported me to the Dean for acknowledging whiteness in a conversation and the history of enslaved peoples on existing racism at the time, and I was penalized after a week of no one explaining why I was in trouble.

Spectacular to say the least! With the Beach Boys headlining this venue is the best ever bar none.

Great place for concerts! Nice view of the lake in the background. I only wish there were more options for food and drink. This could have cut down on some of the longer lines. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this place for any concert! Great acoustics.

Beautiful place. We stayed at the Stone hotel in the performing arts grounds. The hotel is a few steps to the venue. Very convenient. The staff were very nice and helpful. We love this place.

So when I booked it only had one picture of the lake and a deck which was nice. When we got there it is actually located in a summer school academy which I thought was a little weird. The room was small and looked like an old college dormitory. The bathroom was very small and outdated. The shower did not drain well. I almost fell on to the toilet because it was so low to the ground. However the good part of the hotel was the short walk down to the lake where you could sit on a deck, which there were multiple ones and relax. I don't think I will stay here again as it is not the environment that I expected for a hotel.

Best ever concert venue. Easy to get to and leave from. Great facility. Have been coming here as a camper, counselor, and patron for over 50 years.

Interlochen Center for the Arts is an absolutely amazing place for your student to spend some or all of their high school years! My daughter has just completed the first semester of her freshman year and we are already certain beyond any doubt that she is exactly where she is meant to be! If I could have given Interlochen 10 stars I would have, 5 isn't nearly enough..The facilities at Interlochen are a perfect blend of their nearly 100 year history and a concerted effort in the last few years to dramatically update every 'majors' main facilities. The older buildings are incorporated wonderfully within the campus setting and the modern buildings are gracefully situated to heighten their beauty and utility. It all speaks to Interlochens desire to create the best learning environment possible for their students. The only thing better than the facilities on the Interlochen campus would be the faculty and staff, they are brilliant. Having gone through the process of both applying for Summer Camp, one year virtually and the other in person, and then applying for Interlochen Center for the Arts High School, I can guarantee you will not find more helpful and knowledgeable staff anywhere. These people know their stuff and are always willing to help, no matter how silly of a question I asked...Once my daughter started attending Interlochen for high school, and I got to meet all her educators personally, I was so impressed at how wonderful the people teaching my daughter were. If every child could have people such as Interlochen has found, in their classrooms all across this country, this world would be a far better place! The faculty at Interlochen deserve every one of the many accolades that are heaped on them and far better praise than I can set down here. The dorms at Interlochen are exactly that, dorms. That is, except the newest dorms that have recently been finished which resemble an upscale apartment and are highly sought after of course though not what I would call 'dorm living'. I think the kids that get those rooms miss out on something fundamental about the experience of dorm life, but my daughter would disagree I believe. The students at Interlochen are about as interesting a group of teenagers as I could imagine throwing together in a school setting. They come from wildly varying backgrounds and from all over the globe, but all have one important thing in common and that is a burning desire to make art in their own special way. I believe Interlochen Center for the Arts is the best place for them to do just that, while being taught by brilliant educators and guided by caring staff, all in an idyllic woodland setting...

Was here for Summer Camp as a part of the Creative Writing Program. The cabins were incredibly outdated and dirty (the bathrooms inside the cabins were constantly prone to flooding and were the dirtiest places I had ever been in). Luckily, many of the main campus facilities were much cleaner. The classes were also very enjoyable and were a good place to meet likeminded peers. The living conditions, however, were so atrocious that they took away from the overall experience. The only other thing of note is the school mascot being “The Fighting Blueberries”, which is hilarious. Overall, programs and courses are good, but cabins should be updated.
