It was an amazing trip for my birthday! Dave has the absolute best spot for a memorable trip. Peaceful, quiet, beautiful area with incredible views! We stayed in the Bay Chalet Suite and it was absolutely amazing, it has all the best amenities, sauna, hot tub, amazing dual head shower, kayaks, row boat and its right on the lake, doesnt get any better! Dave was awesome and he went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing trip, come stay at his place, you wont be disappointed!

Well, my husband and I just had the best weekend getaway here at Lake ‘n Pines. We decided to book the babymoon package and we stayed in the Bay Chalet. Upon arrival, not only was the suite tidy and clean and everything we needed to know clearly communicated, but also we walked in to this beautiful basket of goodies and the jacuzzi temperature turned down upon request so that I could use it (8 months pregnant).. They were quick to offer help and make sure we had everything we needed. And the room could not have been more cozy, relaxing, and romantic. We are so thankful for our experience staying here in the winter!

We just stayed in the Bay Chalet for the weekend, it was so quiet and so peaceful here. If youre looking for a relaxing spot off of a cute lake in a wooded area this is it. We indulged on some fantastic pizza from Ciceros and then were gifted gift cards upon our departure which we went to Ricos, also delicious. The stay was comfortable and so cozy, it was perfect for my husband and I. If your looking for fancy, its not, but home like getaway with a hot tub, nice shower and a sauna in your room this is it. We will be returning.

We stayed here for New Year’s Eve and our friends reserved the other suites. Our stay was relaxing and the property was very nice. The proximity to Traverse City made the lodge the perfect place for us.

We stayed here.. in the Bay Chalet suite. We were celebrating my husbands 40th birthday with a weekend away. This was just what we were looking for! The location is so beautiful and peaceful. The suite has everything you could want, a private full-size jacuzzi, private sauna, and large open shower. Very clean, quiet, and cozy. We went to a few local restaurants/pubs all with fantastic service, food/drinks. So many local options for the outdoor enthusiast or just a relaxing weekend away. The owners/hosts are great! They go above and beyond to make any accommodations you may need. Super friendly and easy to work with. We will be back! Thank you, Dave & Melanie!! ?☺️?

My wife and I enjoyed four nights in Angler's Nook, a suite located beneath Pines Nature Suite. We received a text message once our suite was cleaned and ready for us - 75 minutes early of normal check-in...this was helpful as we running a little ahead of schedule. Dave was onsite to greet us and provide us the first iteration of gift cards to one of two restaurants of our choice (we chose Rico's in nearby Grawn - great Friday fish fry!). We used the gas grill to grill steaks - the grill worked well. We used the stove top to make spaghetti another night - everything in the kitchen worked well. The queen bed was comfortable. The A/C unit kept the unit very comfortable throughout our stay. The shower had immediate hot water and plenty of water pressure. We used the hot tub one night - very relaxing. We didn't get the opportunity to use the canoe/kayak/row boat, but they were there to be enjoyed by any guest that so chose. The couple above us were quiet walkers, so we didn't have any issues with their footsteps later at night or early in the morning. The location makes for easy access to the sights in Empire, Suttons Bay, and Old Mission without having the havoc of traffic/people in Traverse City. An excellent stay!

Just don't! The photos and description in the travel ads look appealing, but the establishment is dated and unkempt. There was a distinct "old" odor we couldn't get past. The ads touts that it's on a pristine lake and I found this to be untrue. The owners were kind enough to refund our money. That might be the only positive I can provide.

It was very quiet and peaceful. There could be better air conditioning. Our room was on the second floor with two entrances.

Very quiet and secluded location. The hosts were very helpful. We wanted to go to Traverse City but were concerned about staying in a hotel downtown due to COVID. This was a great alternative, close to TC and it allowed us a place to relax at night without worrying about masks and social distancing.

I planned a Girls weekend getaway for 4..( Labor Day Weekend)..we wanted to get away from everything and not be around a crowd, because of Covid....we had never been in the wilderness before, it was a different experience and we enjoyed it....the Suite was beautiful and had everything we needed....the outside jacuzzi was very nice and we didnt want to get out of it...the People in nearby Traverse City was sooo nice....we visited The Sand Bear Dunes & The Beach (breathtaking)...we only had one minor complaint ( listening to our music on the deck)..it wasnt loud and it was during the day & early evening)...it was the holiday weekend and that's what we do....other than that we had a beautiful time....the Rico's Restaurant served us an awesome breakfast.....Thank You Mr. & Mrs Olsen for a Wonderful Stay.....

Great place to enjoy the nature far away from noise. Then again if you're missing the city or want to walk around Traverse city it's just 20 min away and 15 min away from Costco. It's a nice, clean and a cozy family place, simple but with everything necessary. View is remarkable though! The owner is super nice, helpful and welcoming. The breakfast have many options to choose from (I think owner makes them himself), was delicious and filling. There are boats and canoes so you can take them, we used them for fishing, or just to swim around the lake in the canoe. Very peaceful and relaxing place. Loved it would definitely come back again.
