Not impressed with their customer service. More impressed with FedEx even if they destroy what I ordered because at least it arrived. Accidentally hit the back button when I started writing this review because the text disappears behind the keyboard if it gets too long so I have to minimize the keyboard to see what I typed which only adds to the aggravation with this company and I don't feel like retyping all the good parts again like how they will hire anyone with a pulse because they have to hire every person who fills out an application or they'd go out of business just like fast food restaurants and dealership service departments who will hire anyone regardless of criminal background, driving record, face tats and piercings, etc.

I gave them three stars because they may or may not answer the phone and in my personal experience are rather difficult to schedule pick ups and drop off. That being said all my small freight size items average size of 200-300 pounds in a 4x2 osb box on a half pallet,do make it to there destination. The drivers are usually friendly and willing to help. Although I would bring my own help if you need to load something heavy, as it’s clear they don’t have a strength test as part of the application process.

This is my second time ordering something in which US Special Delivery was assigned to deliver it. They will give you a day for delivery but no time. They say to call back the office on the day of the delivery so plan on taking an entire day of vacation to accommodate them. It's almost 6:30 PM now and I was home all day. Still waiting. This exact same thing happened last time. It is very disappointing to be stuck with this company.

Items can make it 1500+ miles in 36 hours, then these guys get it and you’ll wait a week at least…they have no idea when items will deliver when you call. It’s been scheduled for a week and you have not made plans to deliver…poor at best. Not the first time.

Very helpful. They went above and beyond to help me get my shipment. The secretary even sent me pics of my packages to help me decide if they would fit in my vehicle. And the doc guys were just as good when it came to loading my shipment.

Delivery instructions were to (at the very least) leave on the porch. Instead, it was left at the end of a very long driveway, during a snowstorm. When I called the company, I was told they are instructed to drop off at curb. Really? This makes sense? Needless to say, item is now damaged because I have no way to get it into the house. A little extra effort (and just a bit of customer service) goes a long way! Not to mention it was a week early! If I would have had the option to give a - star for a review, I would have.

I was told that I would have to be home and have a couple of guys here to help unload my spa on delivery day. They said it would be here on Thursday. I and two other guys from work took a half a day off work on Thursday . Nobody showed up. So I called them , oh we changed it to Tuesday, so I took a half a day off Tuesday. Nobody showed up so I called them . Now they say they're going to call me to reschedule again. This spa came from CA. To Iron Mountain in three days , but for some reason it can't get from Iron mountain an hour and a half away to my house. I'm still waiting a week later. What's wrong with the service at Iron Mountain.

A great company to work for that actually treats you like a human being. My past experiences with many trucking companies is, they take away your name and they give you an employee number and that's your new name. Here? Your boss will be lucky to remember your employee number, because they know you by your name. This terminal is an easy in and out terminal, with basic driver amenities in the basement, wash bay, and access to the shop anytime you need repairs or necessities for your truck. Highly recommended!

US Special was subcontracted through another company, Estes, who was contracted through Lowe’s. My first impression was, here we go, nobody wants to haul a package that weighs this much (461 lbs) to a rural address. Anne, who has many tasks including scheduling deliveries was great. There was a glitch in the first delivery date but that was rescheduled. When the truck arrived the driver saw the length of my driveway and went out of his way to ensure that I wouldn’t have to try and move that much weight by myself. He placed the package in my garage for me. I will definitely use this company again for any further deliveries.

As the owner of Westman Equipment I only use US Special for shipping and delivering my freight. I don't have tons of shipping but they have always made it easy to drop off and pick up shipments since I don't have a dock. I am also involved with Westman Precision Firearms ( I work part time as the scope installer ) and we had a delivery while there was some construction and the driver went out of his way to make sure the delivery was made. I am currently the General Manager of Lodal a local refuse truck manufacturer and we have shipments and deliveries made by US Special. With so many options out there for shipping companies why do I choose US Special? Because they are locally owned and I have always had a good experience when dealing with them. Sometimes people go out of their way to leave bad reviews because of one little problem so I decided to go out of my way and leave a positive good review.

A comedy of errors. No fewer than four committed delivery times that were missed which led to us having people and equipment waiting to unload that we had to pay to stand around. Got excuses like, "It didn't fit on the truck that we had it scheduled on" to "the paperwork was on the truck, but your freight was not." Then, when it did finally arrive (after being at the terminal for over a week), the photo shows how it arrived in the truck. We refused the entire delivery and now have to wait for a re-ship on another carrier.Their website says, "US Special Delivery is committed to being the carrier of choice in providing creative transportation solutions while delivering exceptional customer service and value with on-time, damage-free deliveries."I think they missed all of these items on this one. If I could rate zero stars, I would.
