Been there before. Restrooms closed, but it was 85 degrees. Maybe could've waited a few more days. Nice beach. Hunted unsuccessfully for Yooperlites.Restrooms: Closed every year on October 1 for the winter season I assume. Did not have usual porta johns in place either. Place was crowded because it was an 85 degree day.

Such a quaint place, we ended here on a scenic byway and waterfall drive! There were several people looking for beautiful rocks, a couple of fires going on the beach and just some strolling while the sun was about to set. We built a fire and proceeded to watch the clouds and lake showoff their own beauty as another great day came to an end. Man the UP is simply amazing.

I would love to give this place 5 stars if I could've felt safe letting my family into the water.... sign going down to the beach says something like, "please be advised, water is not tested for safety". And then, in the bathrooms it was plastered all over that the water wasn't potable and should not be used for drinking or cooking. We left and immediately went and showered. It's a real bummer because it is one of the best, if not THEE best, rockhounding beach in the UP! It was absolutely packed on Labor Day weekend. Seems kind of irresponsible of Gogebic County to not make sure the water is safe. ?

Generous sized sites, bathroom facilities could use a face lift, showers would be a bonus. All in all the kids had fun looking for yooperlites.

There are two different parking areas, but some people were parking on the side of the street and not parking far enough over The bathroom I used was pretty disgusting, but that's pretty typical for someplace like this. The beach was beautiful, and it was fun looking for agates. Go early, lots of people come to do this.Restrooms: Restroom was disgusting. Only use if it's an emergency.Dog-friendliness: Dogs are allowed.

Beautiful September day of rain and clouds broke just before we rounded the last curve to Little Girls Point, so we got to enjoy this beach with a bit of sunshine, blue skies and sparkling water.

Nice quiet beach on Lake Superior, I love to go rock hunting here but beware as cell phone service can be sketchy if you are just here visiting and would need to use it. It has a picnic area, restrooms and dogs are allowed.

Son was married at the lodge. Picture perfect in every way. Great place for everyone to camp. Lodge was beautiful for the reception. Had a great kitchen. Very clean.

We spent hours rock hunting on the beach. The water was very warm for Lake Superior, and the agates were plentiful. Next time, I would like to stay at the campground.
