Did a really nice job on my collision repair, per usual. I’ve gone through them in the past and their reputation continues to proceed them.

Horrendous Experience - Avoid This Shop
If I could give Caliber Collision zero stars, I would. My experience has been nothing short of appalling, and I would strongly urge anyone considering this shop to look elsewhere.
I was paying out of pocket to repair another person's car, and the initial estimate was $1,210.87. On the first day of the repair, I was informed that a few additional items were missed during the initial estimate, increasing the quote to $1,283.99—a manageable increase of ~$73, which I authorized.
However, several days later, I was informed the repair was complete, but yet again, the shop claimed they had forgotten to include something on the prior estimates. The final bill was now $1,533.99, a whopping $250 increase. Shockingly, no one notified me or the car owner about this second revision, nor did anyone seek authorization for the additional work.
When I confronted the staff (Tracy and Will), both admitted that I had not been informed of or authorized the additional charges. Despite this, they refused to release the vehicle unless I paid the inflated bill of $1,533.99. This is a blatant violation of Michigan's Motor Vehicle Service and Repair Act, Section 257.1332, which clearly requires repair facilities to notify customers and receive authorization for additional work that incurs extra charges.
I repeatedly stated that I was willing to pay the $1,283.99 amount, as that was the last communicated and authorized total. However, the shop is illegally holding the vehicle for unauthorized repairs.
I will be filing a formal complaint with the Michigan Department of State and pursuing legal action if necessary to resolve this matter. Caliber Collision's unethical practices, lack of transparency, and outright disregard for customer rights are disgraceful. Do yourself a favor and take your business to a reputable and law-abiding repair shop.

While traveling thru Kalamazoo MI, I had a hood latch fail on my motorhome that needed to be repaired before I could continue. Is was late (after normal hours) but I took the parts to Caliber Collision on W Mosel in Kalamazoo and caught Traci just as she was leaving for the day. Rather then turn me away she asked if she could help me and then introduced me to the General Manager Jordan Vanbelle. He listened to my problem, looked at the parts I had with me and said… no problem he could get it repaired the next day. The next morning at about 10:30 AM I got a call from Jordan telling me my hood was repaired and I could pick it up.
The repair looks great even better than the OEM original. I want to Thank Traci, Jordan and the team at Caliber of Kalamazoo for their help to get me going again. They were very friendly, professional and quick to provide exceptional service. Thanks for a great job!!!!

Stopped in today because my tailgate would not open. Caliber Collision sent out Cameron to take a look. After just a couple minutes, Cameron had the tailgate working properly and had me on my way. Very helpful and polite staff!
