I really enjoy the climate controlled units. I have rented here for 4+ years. When the facility was staffed, it was a better experience.

I've had a two storage unit there for two years I started with a small one and then Moved into a larger one it was awesome I fit all my totes and boxes and dresser and furniture set. and both units Very clean No mildew or dampness no smells no mice bits . It kept all my items safe and clean and in tact i will be renting from them again. I recommend Kalamazoo Storage Center to everyone. The staff team was great. Thank you guys

It was fast and easy to get a storage unit there at Kalamazoo storage. The person I talked to was very knowledgeable very nice.

Units are nice BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
Customer service is the worst!!!!! Even though I have been receiving emails the manager could not explain to me why he needed to add my email because it was no email on file. Near the end of my call I told this manager that I would be contacting the bbb and leaving a review.. he then stated that he was just trying to verify my email... although his exact words on 2 or 3 occasions was... there isn't an email on file and I need to have one. So in order to justify the email situation he started lying. THEY NEVER ANSWERS ON THE WEEKENDS. I tried calling over the weekend to schedule a unit transfer since I wanted to downsize, but no one answered when I called. The first couple calls i got through to customer service they tried to tell me i owed for September but couldnt explain to me how i owed if ive always been pre paid. twice when put on hold the call was disconnected and i didnt recueve a call back. The 3rd time i got hung up on after asking for a manager 6 or more times. When i finally got ahold of someone who spoke english and made it to an actual english speaking manager I was told that accounts are delinquent same day as due date and that they can't transfer me into a smaller unit until the past due and deliquent amount was paid. Keep in mind i have been paying a week in advanced to the due date, but I waited this month because of downsizing units. Today is my due date and I wanted to transfer into a smaller unit today as well. When I told the manager that I would be moving out next month and that I would be contacting bbb and leaving a review. He asked why when he not only worked with me, but he gave me good customer service. Said that just because I didn't get what I wanted doesn't mean they did a poor job. I told him how was he working with me by making me pay more for a smaller unit. I told him it's not about what I wanted it's the fact that your business is not ethical nor providing good business and customer service. Because if today is my due date to cover the coming up month on my larger unit why do I need to pay that amount in full when the unit I'm moving into is smaller and would be less money. So yes I was forced to pay for the bigger unit and forced to take a $50 credit towards the next bill for the diffrence even though i may not even be there anymore. Oh and if I want a refund of the 50$ instead of a credit then I have to notify them 10 days before I move out or I forfeit the money.
Also side note I moved in on the 30th of June so my billing should be on the 30th and they couldn't explain to me how it changed to the 29th. Customer service just kept making excuses.

No one site staff, over zealous wanna be land lords. I cleaned the unit and am done with the lease, but they won’t let me out that easy. Additional fees for anything as well as unable to access our stuff at times. These people are clowns and will never get my money again. Get your stuff out of there asap before they lock you out of your paid unit. Get a lawyer these people are awful.
