Jolene Reed and I (Christina Reck)went to the Dream center on portage road today. . because they're having a garage sale a bag for $5. If anyone knows how to tag the Dream center in this please do. Who wants to go and shop or look around or buy anything when you're hearing the staff just yelling at people don't take clothes off the hangers blah blah blah I mean very rude. But then to top it off $5 a bag wadding it up so you don't fit very many clothes in there. And of course me being who I am minding my business talking to Jolene simply said well no wonder I ended up having more than one bag. Mind you I should have only had all together two bags. But anyway I'm talking to Jolene saying you know they should at least roll the clothes or fold them something so they will fit in the bag better. I ain't talking to nobody else how is the lady working there going to start going off on me and being rude. I told the her mind your business it's the freest thing in the world. Very rude people very rude.I got some nice stuff it being the Dream center. But I will never in my life step anothe foot in that place because the people are rude they were smoking cigarettes as they were packing your bags of clothes. They had no respect for anybody there at all. So again if anybody knows how to tag the Dream center in this please do because they're supposed to be a non-profit they're supposed to be helping the homeless and everything else. I just dumbfounded on the ignorance of them people and if you know me you know if I said something they had to be rude as hell. Because who wants to go somewhere like that when they are free like that and have them smoking cigarettes and Ashen on your clothesI'm just proud of myself for not laying hands

Twice now I've been turned away for help when they were supposed to be open due to volunteers not showing up or being late. I understand things do arise but it's been twice now that I've traveled to get help and they turn me away at the door

They are so helpful for the needy. I do not think they charge for anything. If you need something check on Friday only day open. But usually you get one bag of clothes per person
And other things maybe if you ask. The clothes are way upstairs. So be prepared to climb if you are looking for clothes or shoes

I live close to this place. It is not a good place to donate to. The donations are left outside in the parking lot sometimes for days, in the snow and rain. The owner got mad, called me a liar, and blocked me on Facebook when I said something about it, but nothing has changed. The donations are still out there almost every night. Here are pictures taken on several different nights. Donate at your own risk!

Do not go here they are rude lazy and claim to never have enough volunteers to open but that is a lie you can see many sitting around doing nothing they are a scam robbing the community please don't enable them

Its wonderful to shop and get what you need for like fall and winter coming up. I don't have alot of winter stuff. But what I did get came from the dream center. Thank you so much for what you do for our community.

The lady upstair was amazing! She faces financial roadblocks as well as physical battles and still volunteers her time every day. All the while she is pleasant, helpful, kind! I found her quite inspirational myself. Í thank you so much!
