I'm not from Kalamazoo, so I wasn't sure what to expect from this little market. I just needed a few basics but was disappointed at the quality of some of the offerings, although the store was clean, orderly, and well-lit, and checkout was prompt. I was hoping to find some kind of fresh bread, didn't need it to be fancy, but everything was very processed. Prices were also higher than I expected given that the bread wasn't fresh. The meat options did look fresh and varied, so it's nice to know where I can find certain cuts. I'm also not a huge fan of the label "ethnic foods" above an aisle - what's considered "ethnic" changes drastically based on which cultural groups are present in an area, so it's completely unhelpful for new people, who then have to just randomly guess what's considered ethnic. Since the advantage for me of a small market like this is getting through faster than I could at Meijer, labeling aisles clearly matters. Will I be back? Potentially, since the market is on my way to a couple things, but I'd recommend the Aldi on W Main for basics if you're stocking up.
