I went through Home Depot home services to get a new door. They subcontracted with RF installation company, the estimator never showed up, the manager didn't answer to messages. A complete waste of my time, since I was stood up for four hours. I should have gone to Lowe's.

We had new laminate flooring installed through their installation department. They did a horrible job (especially on the quarter round). We spent a week calling and emailing the local store with no response before we finally gave up and got in touch with someone in corporate. We paid over $3000 in installation fees for about 800 sq ft. $574.84 of it went for "floor leveling". They did not level the floor. We have a really squishy spot in the completed flooring in the kitchen. You can literally see the floor bounce up and down when you walk on it. Would you call that level? We explained everything to the phone rep and they sent someone out to look at it. When he arrived, he agreed that the quarter round was installed incorrectly and looked terrible. He said that the area by the fridge where it is bouncy (along with a hollow noise when you walk on it) is "probably within specs". However, when pressed on what the specs are, he said he didn't know for this particular brand of flooring. So he said, "good enough" without even knowing if it was done to spec??!?!? Does that make sense?
Never have Lowe's do any flooring project for you as the contractors they hire are subpar. So, we'll try to recoup the $574.84 from Lowe's with yet another phone call since the installers clearly don't want to pull that area up and redo it correctly. Supposedly, they are sending someone back to redo the quarter round trim. If we are unsuccessful in getting the unleveled area resolved with the store, then we'll just go ahead and file in small claims court. If you are going to charge for leveling, then please, level the floor. Terrible experience all the way around. Thanks for nothing, Lowe's.
edit 2/21/2025: We're still going back and forth with Lowe's regarding the myriad issues we have with the install. They keep telling us that the installers will get in contact with us to schedule a time to fix it. This has been going on for the last couple weeks or so. It feels like they are just trying to run out the clock and hope we go away. It's probably too late now to contact our credit card bank to dispute part of the charge. I've went ahead and added some photos to the review. I am unable to get a photo of the squishy area - it looks fine, but you know it when you step on it. Since the initial review, we are now getting some separation between a couple of the planks as well. So disappointing.
edit 2/24/2025: Just received a voicemail from Lowe's. They said their installers let them know they were done with the repairs and then they thanked us for our business. WHAT?!? They haven't been back to make ANY repairs. So, after listening to that VM, I immediately opened a dispute with our credit card bank (I initially thought too much time may have passed since the initial credit card charge) and we'll just take it from there and see what happens. Lesson learned: NEVER use Lowe's installation services!

People in the store were great! After that, not so much! I hate to even give it a 1 star right now. I bought a refrigerator on Black Friday...it is now February 12th. It was going to deliver on December 12th, then February 13th and now March 24th. So many calls to find out what was going on with this order, but no communication coming back from Lowe's. Why sell something that you can't deliver? So much time wasted and I still don't have a new refrigerator. LOST A CUSTOMER!

I think it’s a good place to shop for home improvement. I’ve had everything I needed when I go there and sometimes more than I need. Lol parking is good. The weight in line to check out maybe a couple minutes at the most helpful staff.

Customer service was not helpful in attempting to return a product that was defective. Customer service and store manager were rude, and did not provide any suggestions or assistance. I took product to Plainfield location and experience was awesome - very helpful and exchanged product for new one - no problem!

I want to give a huge shout out to Doug C. I was ready to leave without purchasing anything because the worker that I initially spoke with was not very helpful. Then Doug stopped me on the way out and asked how he could help. He helped find exactly what I needed. Doug is very proactive, personable and knowledgeable. I appreciate his ability to provide quality customer service. He deserves a raise!!
