I was a little wary of playing a round here until I did so a little over a month ago. While the bunkers could still use some attention, I found no sign of diseased greens (in fact, they were in excellent shape, I thought). It a tough course with a nice mix of tight and open fairways, some punishing (but not ball-losing) rough and just the right blend of long par 3s and some longer holes. Additionally, I slept straight through my alarm and the management were very understanding when my cardmates asked to push our tee time nearly 30 minutes! In fact, the gentleman at the clubhouse was very kind and we all had a good laugh about it when I did finally show up. Would definitely play here again.

This is the most underrated course in the Grand Traverse area. Could be really something with a little more grounds maintenance

They are making progress at restoring this place. Played here yesterday and was pleasantly surprised by the improvements. Still a lot of work to do but it's getting there.

Outstanding course with pristine conditions close to Oakland hills. The course should be ranked in the top 10 in Michigan. A must for groups wanting to enjoy a great time with magnificent views!

I grew up in the area and have played this course many times over the years. I now play when I am back visiting family and this year was really disappointed with the obvious lack of maintenance. The greens are in good shape, but there is zero signage at the tee boxes, and every bunker is inexplicably unmaintained and “under repair”. I understand if there is a lack of staffing, but I would expect 1) the cost to reflect that, and 2) the attendant to let us know that the course is not up to normal standards. I will not play here again until I hear that it is back to what it used to be.

A great golf course. Always in nice shape. Good fast greens. Hardly ever anyone there. Never busy. Great course. I would play it all the time.

For the cost, this course is in awful condition. Would not recommend playing here. Weeds growing out of rock hard bunkers, goose droppings all over the course, including on multiple greens. Dilapidated clubhouse.Only positive was the drink prices.

Great course. Wish there was more shade, and the clubhouse could use some renovation, but all-in-all, def worth $50 with cart!

Has gone down hill over the past few years/ owners. Prices are the only thing that has gotten higher.. The quality of the course has definitely not . Practice facilities are still good.It use to be the family favorite.
