TERRIBLE customer service! I waited on hold for 55 minutes to make a loan payment. Requested a callback from a manager - never happened. don't waste your time, go elsewhere!

Called case.. on hold for an hour no pick-up. Decided to go to bank.. 1 teller managing 8-9 people. Ya need to work on customer service and response time

Edit Oct 2023:everything has finally been updated at my local branch.Old review:Your ATMs never work and take forever to get fixed especially at the main branch on penn. Run down. Needs to be more like East Lansing branch. Looks like they put their money to the newer upscale areas outside of the capital area. Other then that ok to deal with.

Don't Bank Here. I have had issues with Case from the beginning of my car loan. They charged me interest on my principle payment after I have made my monthly payment and when asked there was nothing they could do. I took 2.5 years to pay back a 7 year loan. On my last payment I called about the payoff amount, and I paid electronically. The next day(today) my account said I owe $.41. When I called about it there is nothing they could do. It has been a hassle working with Case. I paid the $.41 and went to close my account and I am not allowed to do it on the phone or online. I have to come in person. They let me create my account online, but I guess that is different. Overall I would rather work with the big banks.

1 star is more than they deserve. CASE decided to remove my Mom's online banking access. When she called they refused to give online access back to her. They made an 83 year old walk 7 miles there and 7 miles back home so she could get the money she needed to pay her basic utilities.I have her POA so I drove to Lansing and went in to close her account. They refused to give back her money. I have taken her in 5 times and we have been trying to get her money back for months. Don't bank here.

Too many people in the lobby because they don't have drive-thru anymore. And the cashier has to walk all over the place to get my check cashed. All while they are trying to be polite and courteous with the costumers. I stand there with 4 people in front of me and 3 in back of me.

Very small, goofy, "credit union".Had an account with them for years. Recently tried setting up a dedicated account with them for my son. I'm guessing they don't know how to do that. Got talked to like I was a convict at a probation meeting. I was originally told there would be stipulations as in there would be no debit or checks to the account... had their secretary doing all the talking and not an actual banker... wouldn't even talk to me face to face, sent the secretary. Then, I got outright denied - Kept telling me I was not the representative payee even though it clearly stated it in the second paragraph, on the second page, of the 22 page award letter Soc Sec sent. Went directly to the Lansing Soc Sec office and THEY said whoever I spoke with at CASE didn't know what they were talking about. So I went back and finally closed my account. Went to a REAL credit union that DID know what they were talking about and DIDN'T have the secretary play the go between.Also, you can only use your debit card at other credit union atms 3 times a month -CASE then starts charging a fee every time after that. I didn't catch on to this for a solid year. Didn't seem very credit union like.Third, there's only really two places you can withdraw money via atm without getting charged a fee by CASE - the Southside branch, or the Lake Lansing branch (See above about withdrawing from a "co-op" atm... CASE will charge you). What a racket.Another thing I thought a little bit peculiar about this place - they try to sell you car insurance... they act like it's some special member benefit and that you'll get some kind of special rate as a member of Case... nothing really special about it, in fact, rather expensive.They sorta served their purpose till they didn't, hence the 2 stars. Lotta fine print to read if you choose to roll with these folks - lotta pitfalls with this place if you don't read it.

I have been a member here since 1985. I am still happy with it. I do have a problem with these new video drive thru but I has discovered the help button. Got great assistance. Will try again.

Tee in the loan department is awesome. She answered every question for me and went over and above to give me the answers. Nobody else could thank you and thank you for the nice loan on my vehicle.

Best financial institution I have been a part of. I have used US Bank, Wells Fargo, BOA, and two other Credit Unions. I have been a member here for 2 years and I get nothing but excellent service from anybody. I do all my banking online and I never have issues. Whenever there is some scam around the country, I get an update in my email to be wary of financial scams that are circulating. I highly recommend CASE if you are looking for a new financial institution.

Horrible and unhelpful crooks. Avoid this place for banking. We have had an auto loan for a few years with them. Covid cost me my job, so we tried to get the loan re wrote to reduce the payment to fit the new budget, and they can't help. We got behind on the loan but they won't allow any of the 2 advertised skip a pays to be used to bring it back to current. Instead they take late fees out of the payment first and are the only lender out there that refuses Any kind of covid help. A skip a pay would have fixed the short term shortage but they refused because we were struggling and would rather steal the late fees instead of helping find a solution that works long term. I had to add an edit after reading my post again to say I am more upset with the institution and not at any particular person there. There have been representatives that have claimed to be helping but they all seem to hide behind policy of the credit union not allowing them to do anything. They are nice and polite however just never can get anything done to actually help out.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CASE CREDIT UNION!I got a mortgage thru them several years ago and it has been nothing but a headache. Every six months I get a cancellation letter from my insurance company because they're not paying the bill as escrowed for. So I have to call case and ask them to call their "third party" to handle it which every time they say it was an "anomaly" And then I get unpaid tax bills every time taxes are due because they "forget" to pay those too. This has happened about 5-6 times in the two years I've had my mortgage with them basically anytime the bills come due. WORST SERVICE EVER.

J'Brianna is the best! She is the only person who has been able to correct my issues. A great asset to this credit union.Jeffrey Benson is blessed to have her.
