I filed my 2022 taxes back on February 8, 2023. I had to call the several times because I have not gotten back my taxes for the year. I was told by them to call the IRS. I called the IRS to only find out that H &R block never submitted my taxes. When i called H&R back they informed me that the IRS was lying about it because they were behind on their tax returns. I final got back a hold of someone today from H & R Block. They informed me my taxes was never submitted and that i still owe the 175.00 and i could pick up a copy of my return to mail to the IRS. I just feel like i wasted the last 20 years with them.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. For the 3rd year in a row, my taxes have been messed up. 2020 taxes (missed a child tax credit, amended return was filed). 2021, “the system was messed up and didn’t give you everything you were supposed to get for paying for childcare”. Another amended tax return was filed…15 months later and I still haven’t seen the adjustment. 2022 taxes, I wasn’t contacted to get my city taxes filed…because someone had health issues, but the office wasn’t smart enough to redistribute his clients to get things done.

Never was upfront about the price to file taxes for us. No one explained how much it would cost. On-line the quote was 89 dollars. Having the professional do it it was 350. Crazy they were not upfront about pricing. I uploaded all my documents in their software. All documents. The software did 90 percent of the professionals job. I sat with them maybe 13 minutes. They stated that this is going to be $350 dollars. Not transparent with pricing at all. I questioned associated on this. She said, " Someone should of explained pricing to you before we started." No one ever did. I will not be using thier service next year.

I had my taxes done there and the guy told us there was a first time homebuyers credit but didn't give it to us. When he did our state taxes he said we owed more than what I figured we did when I did a draft myself. I have been trying to get a hold of the guy for a almost a week now and he won't return my calls. So now I have to figure out how to do a amended return. I will never go back there again.Called corporate and set up a time for another tax person to call and he called a half hour later than what was said and made me feel like I didn't know what I was talking about. They make you feel stupid. Waste of time and money. They can't explain nothing at all.

I booked an appointment through their website and showed up prior to my scheduled time. I was told that my appoint was moved to another branch and asked to leave my documents as a “drop off” if I wasn’t willing to drive to the other location. I let them know that I wasn’t comfortable with having someone file on my behalf without speaking to them first (and waiting up to a week for them to be filed). I cancelled and left.
