Great place had minor bumper damage and fixed it for free as the only other alternative was a new bumper. Gave great advice as well, highly recommend

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with any dealership, impossible to get a return phone call. They literally sabotaged my vehicle and I have had to take it to multiple other dealerships to rectify their mistakes. Took them 3 months to do $7000 of work. The first time I went to pick up my vehicle.It was missing the tonneau cover, Had a flat tire, bent rim, busted steering knuckle, like they didn't even inspect it, absolutely refused to fix the oil leak that they identified. Tried to tell me it didn't exist (other dealership had no problem finding.) along with many other deliberate sabotaging acts, it will now be handled by michigan AG's office and the insurance company's
fraud dept.

My name ia Mark Chumar and my 2020 jeep renegade hood paint was bubbling so after taking it to lafontaine they looked at it and found it still was under warranty .After approval process was authorized I went back so they could do a paint match and order a new hood which they did .after a few weeks I dropped it off and they replaced the newly painted hood and had cleaned up my vehicle looking like new cleaning it inside and out .Just like it was brand new .Iam very satisfied with the professionalism and care they took through the entire process front start to finish and very pleased .I'd recommend this lafontaine body shop to anyone who seeks a quality job and the entire staff there that will handle your vehicle like it's there own .These people's customer service is the best I've seen in years . Thank you all

Awesome service and communication. They worked with my insurance company when additional work was needed with no extra cost to me. In addition to the great body work, they also left my car looking cleaner than when I left it with them! If I ever need body work again, I'll definitely use LaFontaine. Thank you!

We just dealt with the body shop in East Lansing for Lafontaine collision. I would highly recommend going elsewhere to get your vehicle fixed not only did it take a month to fix the car but after we got it back, we found the giant scratch in one of the doors that wasn’t there when we brought the car in. They told me that they did not have a rental car for me to drive and I understand that if it’s gonna take a month, they would probably lose money, giving me a car for that long a time I really should’ve thought this out and gone elsewhere because other places offered a rental car for the time of course it probably wouldn’t have taken a month . They also told me that they would take care of the rental car that we had while they fix the damage they had done to our car and then after the car was finished, they told me they actually offered me one of their cars I never spoke to anybody there I own the vehicle. They only spoke to my daughter . Like I said, I would highly recommend going someplace else. It was an expensive lesson that you don’t have to go through. I would write a zero star, but I don’t think you can just terrible customer service all the way around awful experience.

Worst experience I’ve ever had at a body shop. Had my vehicle a week shy of two months for some paint repairs on my vehicle. Tried to give it back to me with parts still on my floor and parts in the back floor board. Dust covered almost every part of my vehicle. Asked if they would get me a towel so I could clean out my car and they actually went and got me one. Was then asked if they could keep my car as they needed to polish something. So, I came back the next day only to inspect the paint and realizing they missed a whole section as well as nicked my front hood hinge. Showed them both spots and they kept the vehicle for an additional two weeks. Came back to get the car a third time and the nick is still in the front hinge and I’m missing two hinge pin screws in my doors.I’m just glad they were not working on anything Internally.

This was a nightmare experience for me. The initial time frame and estimate were extended, fine that was fair. I got my vehicle back and things were not right. I take it back to them and they immediately start telling me this was nothing to do with the work they did but leave it there and they’ll look at it. They tow my truck to another place without telling me, the discover it was low on coolant. They put coolant in and they attempt charge me $300 for a tow and for coolant. I had to contact my insurance adjuster who immediately agreed that the work on the radiator would have effected the coolant levels and said insurance would cover it. When I got my truck back the second time the back up sensors were messed up and my back brake pads were shredded to metal (likely from the tow they didn’t tell me they were going to do) I will never go back. The staff was rude and combative throughout the experience, they told me they didn’t do work to the radiator but the insurance adjuster said based on the paperwork they turned in that they did. It was awful

I had my vehicle repaired at La Fontaine collision and body shop. I don’t drive very many miles. I know that I am driving more and being less than two years my front of my car is shaking rattling. I’ve talk to the service manager set up a time to meet couldn’t make it try to set up another one. I went the next day and now I’m playing phone tag her hide seek. I will update my review after my experience working with the manager. Not good so far getting the run around.
