Would not recommend this company to anyone. The tech they sent out cause damage to our system due to incorrect testing procedures. They would not take any responsibility, leaving us without heat for multiple days. You’re better off with some space heaters than giving this company any money.

If you like to run out of propane in the dead of winter this company is for you!! They might tell you they will deliver propane but the actual execution falls short by about 100 miles. When they fail to deliver propane and you tell them you will seek business elsewhere they actually thank you as they hate to have to work. Great business model!

Terrible communication and complete disregard for their customers. Avoid dealing with this company at all costs.
I am extremely disappointed with the service from Lansing Ice and Fuel. Despite calling ahead three weeks in advance, they left me in the cold by failing to deliver propane when I needed it most, causing my propane to run out. On another occasion they charged my boyfriend’s account for a fill-up that we didn’t order and never received.
Another time, they mistakenly charged someone else’s card, and when the charge didn’t go through, they started charging us fees instead. This level of incompetence and lack of accountability is unacceptable.
I would not recommend Lansing Ice and Fuel to anyone. Their poor service and billing issues have caused significant inconvenience and frustration. I was very gracious at first but they have failed way too many times. On top of my experience, I know of many others who have had similar experience with their awful service.

Editing: while I greatly appreciate you reaching out, google reviews would not be the best setting for such conversations. Our business could have been kept with one key component: communication. After my surgery when the auto-pay did not go through, and I called you guys to discuss, at that point in time, or the next week when the bill was paid in full, it should have been brought to my attention that we were being switched to will call. 1 word, communication. Room for improvement on your end. Shoutout to Avery Fuel for communicating and expressing customer care as a priority!
Labeled as "High Risk" for being late on 1 payment during a surgery. Paid in full, all caught up. Company changed my contract without informing me, now in January in Michigan with a 2 year old daughter I am without Propane/Heat. Rude on the phone, would not let me talk. Tried to upcharge me on price of propane and charged for a delivery fee. Not doing this anymore, I am switching to Avery. My perfect credit score does not label me as high risk over there.

Editing to respond: Thank you for the response! That's not what we were told on the phone. I wish things had been relayed better to us.
We were left without heat even with a $0 balance. Additionally, if there was an open balance, Google reviews shouldn't be how you inform a customer. Seems like you're trying to "disqualify" my review. Which just proves my point that there is no genuine regard for the customer.

Their way of business was not customer friendly. Failed to inform us they were switching our account. Rude on the phone when we were trying to figure out what happened. They also have a lot of additional hidden fees. Do not recommend.

Our family has used them for over a decade and it's always flawless service. Even when we forget to check our tank they're able to bring out propane as soon as next day. Highly recommended!

I called asking if they could recycle 1lb coleman propane tanks and while they don't, they recommended a place that does. I appreciate that type of customer service. Even though I didn't work out as a customer, they were still willing to help. Signs of a good business!

I am disappointed with this company and saddened to even write this review. They were my dad’s propane supplier. We lost my dad in April of 2021. In October of 2021 they delivered propane to his house, which I am grateful for. However, we never received or even knew he had a balance as we never got the bill (USPS didn’t deliver it). That is not Lansing Ice & Fuel’s fault and I am not blaming them. What I am incredibly disappointed by is their decision to remove my dad’s tank in the middle of winter without trying harder to reach us. Even a note in the door (when they delivered or any other time) would have been perfect as we would have seen it. Because of their decision to pull the tank during the coldest months of the year, all of my dad’s pipes burst. I did reach out to Lansing Ice & Fuel to discuss and hopefully rectify/get a new tank delivered, and was promised a call back. They seemed nice on the phone and said they had to talk with the boss before knowing how to proceed, which is understandable. That was a week and a half ago though and I still have not received a call back. Overall, I’m just extremely saddened by the poor timing they chose to take away my dad’s tank, knowing it was dead winter, and the lack of communication once I found out who his propane company was and reached out to them. All I wanted was to make things right and take care of my dad’s home by getting a new tank out there, and I 100% would have paid the previous bill had I known their was one.
