Terrible place to work. Management is utterly horrible. I was assaulted by a 62 year old Man because I wasn’t trained on how to use a software. This company will not invest in you as a person. They will not invest in your skillset. I was an engineer in the U.S Navy for 3 years and hired in to be a Press Operator. I actually ended up being an Assistant. Tons of maintenance positions open and oddly enough I wasn’t able nor recommended to switch over. Constant rumors are spread about everyone and are almost never true. Most of the employees are between the ages of 40-65 years old and act like children. They refuse to fire people who REAK of marijuana having made it known it’s not tolerated by Westrock just because of their skin color. An individual stands around with his hands in his pockets doing nothing. The press operator I assisted set the press on fire 2 times in a span of 3 months that I’ve worked there and nothing was done about it. I was fired for forgetting to clock out having realized my operator wasn’t there. My grandma passed away and I found out that morning. I’ve never been fired from any job. DO NOT WORK HERE! I’m sure management will run this place in to the ground but don’t get dragged along with them.

After 6 years of employment here I was walked out by one of three HR staff. Was never given a reason why I was being fired, told multiple times paperwork would be mailed to me. Its been over a month with no paperwork. HR is beyond unprofessional, and recruiting team is worse. Nobody knows how to properly do their job because there is NO training. Ive seen multiple people lose fingers and limbs due to junk machinery that the company refuses to update because they dont want to spend the money, mind you, it is a multi BILLION dollar company. There have been people who have worked there over 20 years who havent recieved ANY type of raise in over 10 years. They do not care about your well being here, during busy season they make you work 21 days 10 hrs and give 1 day off. They literally ride it to the legal limit. Long story short if you work here you can pretty much expect to be worked to the bone with junk pay. I regret the years wasted here. If the company wants to stay in business with good employees they need to get rid of the HR staff, they will run that company into the dirt. They are not there for the people, only upper management.

Ordered envelopes, they spelled the name wrong on the return address. Went to reorder them and told them they had spelled this wrong. Sales lady was very nice and informed me I wouldn't be charged because of their first mistake. Received a receipt in the mail from them charging my card a month later. Asked them about it and they said that if I didn't like the first envelopes I should have called right away. Told them that I didn't even expect a refund, but they offered it and I appreciated that. Asked if I had called in right away and been a jerk about it if they would have refunded me - "absolutely!". Than why is it a different story now? Just is, you missed your chance.

Wouldn't recommend getting hired here.. make you run back and fourth to do a bunch of test. 2 weeks later wondering what is going on, you call and call plus send email to their HR but she never calls back to let you know whats going on. Shes always in her office but must just ignores her calls when she sees caller id pop up. Wish i knew a month ago when i started this process, i wouldn't wasted my time and talent with this company. Truth is it could just be the HR is not up to her job._ shame
