Doctor is so rude! Employees try to scam. Called me the day before and told me they have my insurance information and everything was all set. Then after my appointment told me they don’t accept my insurance. Scam!!!!!

This company didn't check my insurance until it was time to pick out my glasses ( after seeing the eye doctor ?) then they say my insurance is inactive. I get my insurance company to call them and the man was so rude to the lady at my insurance company. I had a bad vibe about them anyway ?

Never again.. the Doctor is truly something different. Didn't have the best experience there and will be going to LO eye instead for my eyes health rather than being criticized and ridiculed

Called to get some basic information about pricing and insurance coverage and got no help other than a lady doing her best to end the phone call. She repeatedly kept telling me how the glasses purchase process goes and that was no help. She kept implying that I needed to come in. I called American best, HD eye care, and lens crafters they all had no problem answering my questions in less than 5 minutes phone calls. She was nice and friendly on the phone but was absolutely no help and didn’t even try to help.

I went in just for an eye exam (glasses and contact lenses). Their location was very convenient to where I work. I feel that Dr. Matson did a good job with the eye exam, although he doesn’t have the best bedside manner…easy enough for me to overlook. After meeting with the doctor for about 30 minutes, he brought me to the front of the store. The front office staff were definitely friendly, until after I paid for the exam. I explained to the office manager that I did not want to purchase from Pearle right now, as last year’s glasses were still good, and I had several pair of contact lenses from last year, so wasn’t in a hurry to purchase more. When I asked for copies of prescriptions for both exams, I was told by the office manager that they don’t give copies of the contact lens prescription until the sample had been tried and worn for a week. This would ensure that the new prescription worked well for me. However, she still wanted me to order and pay for the new prescription at that time, without trying the sample lens. This didn’t make sense to me, so I asked again for copies of both prescriptions, telling her I didn’t need to buy anything now. She said she would give me the glasses prescription, but not the contact lens prescription. I offered to give back the one trial contact lens that the doctor gave me. After that, she rolled her eyes, walked to the back office, and returned with copies of both prescriptions. Not the customer service I expected after reading such great reviews. But that could be because I didn’t spend hundreds of dollars there. I’ve never had that problem with other optical offices. Needless to say, I won’t be back there.

Very friendly staff. They were busy and short staffed but still helped me replace my nose pads! The blonde woman had taken the time to make sure they were comfortable and everything.

I went in for a long overdue eye exam and everyone was incredibly helpful. Kasi in particular was incredibly kind and had very good taste in what eyewear looked good on you. Will be going back.

Everyone here is great, Dr. Matson, and all of the staff. Very professional and extremely helpful with frame decisions. The best in customer service. They're always so friendly and helpful. Can't say enough good things about all of the staff. Always a pleasant experience. Thanks to you all!

Dr. Matson and his team are amazing! This was only my second eye exam, YES IN LIFE, and this was a much better experience than my first. His team was knowable and patient. They helped me understand each expense as well as my insurance coverage. Dr. Matson provided a thorough exam and helped me to better vision! Looking forward to being a repeat customer.

I went in and all of the secretaries and support staff were very nice. The doctor saw me for less than 5 minutes. He was unfriendly, dismissive, and condescending. He then said that my issue was heath related and not covered by my vision insurance, forcing me to pay over $200 for the less than 5 minute appointment. I wasn't even given the eye exam that the appointment was for. From then on, even the secretaries became rude on the phone once it became a matter of money. So, in summary, I was charged over $200 by a rude doctor that spent 5 minutes not even doing what I was there for. I cancelled my follow up appointment and will not return. And I recommend no one else does either.
