Horrible experience with this hotel. First, we reserved 3 rooms to be next to each other 6 weeks in advance. The rooms were on each end of the hall and one room in the middle. Second, had metal siding outside our window slapping the side of the building right under our window Room 167. Third, the play area for kids by the pool had a 20ft ladder and scaffolding maybe 3 ft from the play area. Fourth, the pool was BIG MAYBE 60 to 70 degrees. The lady at the front deck had a maintenance guy go to the pool to check the temperature. Little did they know I was telling my wife to get the kids out of the pool because their lips were turning purple. Maintenance guy shows up with a literal MEAT Thermometer. Literally ones the chef's use to check temp. Im sure that was accurate since I was told the water was 83 degreed. Not a chance. Fifth, the reason why we booked the hotel was for the hot tub for us adults to relax in while the kids swam. Well that apparently hasn't worked in 3 yrs and was roped off. Sixth, the lady at the front desk then lies to management and said the 2 out of 3 families that showed up and voiced their concerns. Didn't check out with the front desk. Lucky the third family never checked in and isn't dealing with trying to get a refund. They are telling us the pool was 93 degrees NOT A CHANCE IN HELL and we never checked out. Don't waste your money on a ran down hotel. We left there and then spend another additional $175 on a room at Hamptom Inn literally quarter mile away. That pool was 80 to 90 degrees and hot tub worked. DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY AT THIS PLACE!!!

The rooms were dirty (dirty sink counter, dusty balloons on floor, construction debris), smelled like cigarette smoke. My room's toilet broke, and the sink faucet kept coming off as it was not secured. I needed to be moved to a different room due to the issues and then shortly after moving another person was assigned to that room and given a key that worked. Almost walked into my room while I was in disposed. There was clear mold in the hallways and various curtains (bed sheet) attached to the ceiling tiles to attempt to hide the mold. I dropped my silver ring in the bathroom and due there being a permanent blocking of the bathroom sink at the floor I was unable to retrieve it. It was an irreplaceable family ring that I won't ever get back.DO NOT COME HERE.

I have stayed here many times. My room was clean, and they do a good job at accommodating any special needs. The free breakfast has many choices to convert different diets.

It is an old hotel. The furniture is old, the building is old, front desk was not friendly and welcoming. Parts of the ceiling is falling off in the front desk and parts of the building. The mattress had stains. The walls had stains. My room smelled like smoke. It felt dirty and looked it too. I woke up with back pain from the uncomfortable mattress. Spend the extra $20 and stay at a much better hotel, it is worth it.

Lock your doors so the maintenance worker doesn't walk into your room on you. Called the front desk and got an oh well I'll say something to him. Requested a manager call back, still haven't received one. None of the employees are even in uniform, hoodies and t-shirts are all you see. Oh yeah, don't interupt the front desk girl to check in, it'll interrupt her personal phone call that she continues on with while working with you.

Price was good. Rooms were run down, hallways weren't heated.

Would stay again!Positives: free breakfast, very large, heated pool and large pool area, kind and helpful staff, clean bedding and bathrooms, very quiet, plenty of outlets, updated toilet and TV, snack and drink cove in lobby, there was a mini fridge and microwave and stocked coffee maker in the room, there was a sauna and a gym, but we didn't use themNegatives: slightly sketchy area (there were cops and an ambulance the night we stayed, but they didn't disturb us), ice machine was broken on our floor but they had a water fountain downstairs, hot tub was closed when we stayed, carpeting could definitely use an upgrade, it's very gross looking from years of stains but it was clearly vacuumed so it was fine, there was also no trash can in the room but there was one by the ice machine in the hall

There were many roof leaks, no hot tub, very chilly in the building. Could use a fair bit of repair. We were up charged for having three people in our room. Otherwise, friendly staff and clean.

My son and I stayed at your property 12/14-16/23 while attending my Grandson's MSU graduation. At breakfast on Friday an older couple came in and very loudly complained about everything, saying the food was "worse than a third world country ". A little later I went to the Front Desk for a piece of paper and there they were again. He was upset that a particular door to the pool was locked at night (for security purposes). He threatened to post his complaints on every social media. He noticed me waiting my turn but kept up his rant.I am writing this to commend Raquel who handled him with patience and professionalism. She is a delight and you are blessed to have her as the first person most of your guests encounter.

I attended a conference this weekend in Lansing. I booked a single king bed room as I was traveling alone. The hotels were all priced higher than usual, due to a home Spartan game. I understood that. What I did not understand was the lack of hot water in my room. It would heat up somewhat when I washed my hands, but did not get hot. It was a very bad surprise to find myself in a cold shower Saturday morning. As I left for the conference, I stopped at the front desk and spoke to two ladies about the issue. They asked if it would be okay for maintenance to enter the room and check for problems.I never heard back from the hotel. I got back to my room around 11pm to the same problem of barely warm water to wash my hands. The shower also ran the same way.Upon checkout, one of the ladies I had spoken to previously was on duty. I asked her about the problem and she confirmed maintenance found the same problem. She also told me "someone" was supposed to call me and see if I wanted a different room, but no one called. Maintenance must have been busy, as there were multiple trash cans in the middle of my hallway catching all of the leaking water. The staff at the front desk did not offer to discount the room at all. This is awful customer service. I do not recommend this hotel at all.I have t ever left a really bad review before, so I want to mention something good at least. The pool looked okay. The voucher breakfast was decent and the kitchen staff excellent. Not sure that is enough to make up for no hot water in an already over priced room. :/
