After having had a my condo redtagged due to water damage from from a neighbors fire, my insurance put me up here for about 6 months. My insurance adjuster has caused alot of unnecessary problems making the whole process extra stressful but my staying here has been the one extremely positive experience I've had. The entire staff has been amazing, helping me putting out extra fire my adjuster seems to enjoy causing, and making me feel at home here. Carrie and her team are outstanding. The rooms are fully equipped for long term stays and the amenities are great. Couldn't have asked for a better place to live while waiting out the construction.

The employees are amazing. 4 stars because of someone cancelled my original reservation from a non existent policy t the person made up (not sure who it was though) but after it was worked out, it has been a pleasant experience. The young lady that cooks the breakfast in the mornings really really puts pride in her work.

Very old and dated hotel. Definitely not up to the Marriott standards. Stains on the carpet. Holes in the window shades which someone attempted to cover up. Our family had 2 rooms one of which had bodily fluid stains on the mattress of the pullout couch. Breakfast (eggs) was cold, fruit bowl empty. Attempted to reach out to manager and have not received a reply. Will not stay again.

I never actually stayed in the hotel. I booked and paid for the hotel a month in advance. When I came to check in on 8/25/23, I was told by the front desk Representative that there was a power outage and I would not be allowed to check in, I would have to find another hotel to stay at, which I did end up doing. Then I received a folio receipt that says I checked into the hotel, even though I called several times and spoke with several different employees who all told me I would be refunded. I also received an email from someone named Sheri W. who stated “The Residence Inn By Marriott Lansing West has advised that you checked into this hotel at 7:49 PM on 08/25/2023.” Although that was very frustrating, I finally talked with a Representative named Brandon, who did assist me to fix the issue, and I greatly appreciate him.

Great part of the city to be in. What they don't tell you is that you have to take out your own trash. Maybe that's normal since Covid. I've not traveled much since then. But it was unusual for me. The staff are very friendly and accommodating!

Needs better cleaning and updating. Breakfast could improve. Very cozy and cute lounge area.Update: 6/8/23I won't be staying here again. Some of their front desk staff in particular are real pieces of work. There's a reason I normally stay at the Residence Inn in E.Lansing.Most recently I stayed here 6/6/23-6/8/23. I'm married, however I usually take care of booking the rooms and check-in when we travel for work. Things were fine until Keyna at the front desk saw my husband one morning when we went down to have our keys reactivated since both had been deactivated.She didn't realize we were a couple and asked my husband what he needed and I told her he's my spouse. I hate to mention race, but note (I'm Blk, husband Caucasian) and staff member mentioned also Blk. Right after I said we were together, she refused to give us our 2 keys back. She lied and said my room door was different and couldn't have two keys made(eventhough we had two previously, which were working fine until they were deactivated). Anyhow, I was tired from working all night and just went to my room, didn't feel like pressing the issue.Decided to extend our stay, booked with Priceline as usual. Went back downstairs to get keys. I told Keyna I needed 2 keys and she refused, again, lying saying her supervisor said 2keys couldn't be issued. Then, she proceeded to tell me she couldn't extend my stay because I used Priceline (as I always do) eventhough I had already booked and paid through Priceline. I had to contact Priceline whom refused a refund, but contacted the hotel. The hotel ( Keyna) refused to approve a refund. Knowing there would be a legal problem, Keyna at the front desk was magically able to honor my booking and extend my stay - still only issuing 1 key. Today, upon check out a front desk staff was sent to the room to ensure we were leaving. I had never had any issues here until now. Needless to say I cannot recommended this place and will not return. We experienced some form of discrimination and that's unacceptable.

We paid over $200.00 and the closet door was broken... Some of the on/off nobs were missing off of the stove so only one eye worked... We were very disappointed... We won't be going back to that hotel...

Not a bad hotel. Our family of six for well into the 2 bedroom suite. We have 3 televisions, a stove, oven and full size fridge. On top of that, they offer a free continental breakfast. The only downside was that on each room, one bedside lamp didn't work. Everything else was satisfactory. Would stay here again.

It's a good place to stay when you're in the West Lansing area. Good check in experience (best bag of treats I've ever gotten for my status!). Nice room. Pretty good breakfast. I left something in my room and used the chat feature in the app to request they set the item aside for me, which worked beautifully!Noteworthy details: Lots of power outlets!

Rooms were perfect for my family of 4. My entire extended family stayed and everyone was pleased. Ms. Irene that handles breakfast in the morning was absolutely amazing and so was the food. She was so sweet to my young kids, we could use more wonderful people like her in this world. To her manager she needs a big RAISE! Also that was the best breakfast we’ve ever had in a hotel. We will definitely be back!!!

The only reason I rated 4/5 was because the pool was closed for our trip and beyond. The staff at the front desk made our trip so special by taking an interest in our family and our reason for travel. The room was clean and spacious. I love that the hotel was pet friendly. We will definitely return!

I had a wonderful time staying at the residence inn. Every staff member was so friendly and accommodating. I liked being greeted and welcomed back. I felt very welcomed here and checking out was a breeze. The rooms are very spacious and well designed. The heating kicks in quick and warms up the place very fast. The breakfast is very good with slight changes in variety each day. I especially loved the omelets, meat choices, bagels and fruit. I've stayed at 4 and 5 star hotels that were less spacious with very bland breakfast options. I will stay here again when I come back. The TV is very easy to use. I appreciate having the option of signing into my netflix and YouTube account from the TV as well.

Our stay here was absolutely awesome. Every staff member was helpful and cordial. I was welcomed by Mario at the front desk and treated to a stellar customer service experience. He was professional and expedient all while being kind and attentive. When we had breakfast in the morning, it was delicious and served by Santana. Who was an amazing employee and went out of his way to make my five kids and my breakfast an awesome and smooth experience. Easiest 5 stars ever. Kudos to everyone there and thank you!

I am very impressed with the 2 beautiful ladies with welcoming smiles and a friendly greeting as soon as I walked in. They were happy to help with several of my questions. The room is very spacious and clean. I'm looking forward to the rest of the week here.
