Overcharged for 2 packs smokes, then they lied about the Michigan scanner law. Cashier says his manager told him there is no scanner law. Google it please and STOP STEALING FROM YOUR CUSTOMERS !!!! Advertised prices should be same as scanned prices... Shame on you .

Dan is terrible manager,his employee put my gass in the wrong pump and then refused to put it on the right pump .then refused me service.never going back to that speedway.hope he doesn't get his 3 cent raise this year he doesn't deserve it...

Well I park truck at pump 2 to get diesel gas. I go inside to find a long long line of people and 1 cashier behind counter. I also see a manager and another worker stocking shelves and cleaning up coffee area. Then another worker behind the food station. The LING line isn’t moving and just getting longer. I look around and made eye contact with manager and shook my head. You would THINK at that point the manager would go up and cashier to get the line going. Or signal for one of the other workers to do so. But no! No help no care at all for the people waiting and waiting for line to move with just one cashier. So I finally get up there give the cashier $15 to put on pump 2. I go out start pumping and it pumps $5:31 then stops. It won’t pump any more. So I go back in and to save time here went inside came out didn’t work went inside then outside didn’t work. Then inside the manager assured me it was working so went back out IT WASNT WORKING. Then back inside and the manager asks “ you want diesel?” I said yes and he said oh. That’s why. Now it will work. I go back out IT STILL DOESNT WORK. So I pull my truck around to pump 1 and again went inside to tell them to put it in pump 1. They did and it finally worked.
I am in a high profile business and if we did this at my biz, most of the people would have just left and not stay in line. The ones that stayed in line could be expected and would leave nasty reviews online. I tell every one of my employees and remind them daily that when a customer gets to 3rd strike, it’s OVER there is absolutely nothing you can do to cool the guest and retain them without going to extreme measures.
It’s amazing how many people can get to strike 3 at speedway before even having any contact with store employees. You get to strike 3 simply by waiting in line and I’m not exaggerating, when I say wait I mean wait and wait and wait and wait…making it worse seeing other management and staff watching this go down as in none of their customers are important or at least not more important than wiping up a coffee stain on the counter.
I know this review will go nowhere and nothing will be done at any speedway location. They simply don’t care about customers or customer service. Guess they think they can do anything or the lack of with no consequences. They are probably right. There is no way to hold them accountable for the service they give.
And with this many locations in Lansing I would feel safe in saying at some point speedway workers have come to my business and have complained perhaps online about our quality service which I admit we are not perfect and we do make mistakes from time to time. But when we do, WE OWN OUR MISTAKES and literally do whatever it takes to make it right. Even if our cost is higher than the amount the customer spent. Our customers are that important.
It is very sad to see so many businesses including Speedway that just don’t value their customers and do nothing to be better. Nothing to represent the capital city of Michigan. It’s more like Welcome to Michigan now GET OUT.
I’m done venting. It’s speedway today, Starbucks tomorrow DQ next week and the car wash next month. Small business owners need to start appreciating their customers and see them as valued customers. Represent our city. Our capital city! I’m not perfect by any means but when I screw up no one has to tell me to do better. In my business complaints are treated like a massive heart attack and we do whatever it takes to make it right.

The manager in the cafe, by far the rudest person I’ve ever encountered here! Watched her ignore a costumers request for a whole pizza! She then proceeded to tell him to put each slice in individual bags and have a good day! No one other worker there tried to help that man as if they were afraid of the manager… corner of grand River and cedar Northside location!

(north side location). Went there to use the bathroom while having a valid medical condition under Allys Law, and was told no on using the bathroom even though I explained the law to them. Will be filing a complaint with the state for them violating the law. Other locations have done this as well. They just don't want people to be able to use the bathroom, but they'll gladly take your money for food and claim to be a "friendly" company. Yeah, no. Done going to speedway.

This speedway location is horrible. It stinks in there, the roller grill, coffee, and soft drink areas are always dirty. I stop here for gas only!!

Manager removed all the cheap food items off the Cafe computer and only has the most expensive things left on it done on purpose to drive up numbers no reason for it manager needs removed from store he's a rude pos who dosen't care about his customers want at all

Very friendly staff! I know it sounds crazy, but I really love the hot wings at speedway. This location usually has those and lots of other hot foods prepared and waiting for us to come in and get them. Speedy cafe is actually pretty tasty and very convenient.
