Stopped by while in the area for the day. The inside of the establishment was nice. Many people studying and doing work. We ordered a dirty chai and a vanilla latte. Both were, unfortunately, fairly underwhelming in terms of flavor and quality. We've had a lot of coffee and this just didn't make the cut. On the other hand, the vegan Biscoff donut was surprisingly tasty, especially for people who aren't vegan.

Absolute best Cortado I’ve ever had!!!!!! It’s the same delicious and perfect blend and flavor every single time!!! If you have a developed palette for good coffee, this is the best place to go in Lansing! Also best black brewed coffee! And, it’s not just the best because we’re in Lansing. I’ve traveled all the US to big cities, and Strange Matter would hold its own in any of those cities as well! Thanks friends for your dedication to the craft and sharing it with us! ?

I always love the good vibes at strange matter, and their donuts and drinks always slay, and today was no different. But I felt the need to leave a review because both employees were so nice despite the fact that I came in 10 minutes before close, and thought I was ordering a simple drink for them to make, didn't realize they had to steep my iced tea, which made me feel worse that I was ordering it so close to closing time, but hand to God its the best iced tea I've ever had in my whole life. Hibiscus and I think juniper Barry... Perfection. Thank you to the patient employees!

I absolutely love this cafe! I don't live in the area, so I can't come regularly. However, once in a while, it is an absolute treat. The vegan doughnuts are phenomenal. It is nearly indistinguishable from a regular doughnut. Plus there are always new delicious flavors every time I come out.

Strange matter is right! It must have been some type of strange matter in that doughnut I ate because I was sick for 3 days after that! If your vegan and do not wish to assault your microbiome than happily try another place, better health is much better option than here.

Cute place but nobody really acknowledged me in line or waiting to order. Coffee was small for price and doughnuts tbh tasted old. I had the lemon poppyseed one and the lemon curd tasted more like old milk. Not great not terrible.

Great spot for unique hot beverages and delicious scones. Wish drinks were offered in larger sizes because they are so good.

The donuts here are absolutely divine! And I'm not even a big donut person- but this place changes my mind. Great ambiance for studying or catching up with friends. Love that this is an LGBT friendly establishment and feels very welcoming. Phenomenal playlist with Lorde and Phoebe Bridgers as well.

This was an amazing experience and I had a great time going with my family! I would strongly recommend the Americano. It was just what I was looking for to make the day start off on a good note. All of the staff members were kind and very patient when ordering. There is a nice little station where they make the coffee fresh so that you can see all the hard work that is going into it. This coffee shop is 5 stars in my book, it could have not been a better experience.
