“I wish I could rate 5 stars but I can’t. I’ve never had a problem with best western until my stay 02/7-02/8. I just want a refund. I chose BW lapeer in because we had some family coming down from a few hours away. We check in the room and I noticed a old coffee pod still in the coffee maker, a dirty bathroom mirror from what looks like someone brushing their teeth and very very dusty throughout. Yes this may not seem like a big deal for some, but for cleanliness it should have been cleaned. Fast forward to later we use the hot tub, it was luke warm (almost like dirty bath water feeling.) we told the front desk and she dips her hand in each side to check it. Yeah, it wasn’t hot at all! They supposedly go to turn it up and we waited , but no change to it so we gave up and left back to our room. When it came time to check out which is at 11am, NOT 10:30am we were finishing up our showers and had everything packed already. A housekeeper opened the door as I was coming from the bathroom! Thankfully I was dressed but it is the point of having privacy and being rushed out 30 minutes earlier than we were supposed to. For 140/night I am just disappointed with how the stay went overall as I always stay at best western any time I travel, I always chose BW. But for all this to happen after I talk so highly of them is a disappointment and to be honest I’m just wanting a refund.”

“First time I went with a group of friends for an overnight stay. We had so much fun exploring this beautiful old mansion and hanging out with each other.Second time (about a month later) I went for a paranormal investigation. I learned even more about the mansions history and its tenant's that all reside there.Both times were amazing. This place is so beautiful and there's so much to see, especially if you like historical buildings. This is truly a must stay place.I have Verizon and had a hard time getting service but that was for the whole time. Columbiaville is a cute little town.This is a lovely bed and breakfast. There's a little fully stocked kitchen if you want to handle it ask yourselves. Owners are just a call or text away if you need them. Noteworthy details: Beautiful old mansion with lots of beautiful historical woodwork and details throughout. ”
