Shame on Kroger Corp! I’ve been a Kroger shopper for 45 years and have to say the customer experience at the Lapeer outlet is liberal horrific. They want to boast new policies improving the customer experience and service to customers but corporate management accomplished the exact opposite with their obvious Liberal craziness by Kroger as a whole. Vendors are consistently more helpful than the Kroger staff. Kroger staff standing around talking while the store operations fall apart as customers stand waiting for help. I don’t spend more then 20 $ a week at Kroger now when I used to drop at least 500$ in a month, not only are the prices higher but have recently discontinued many items I used to purchase. I also use my fuel points at Shell oil so my discount comes off gas that’s not marked up 10 cents to eat our discount which Kroger is famous for.

I would rate it more but they are too expensive in todays economy. Yes there are deals to be had but why stop there and waste your time looking for them. They have a gas station on site, which is a positive and ussually are a cent cheaper than the meijers gas station across the street. I supose they are trying to attract customers to navigate through the worst parking lot I have ever seen. The gas station is inconvenient to get to. If I could afford to shop at krogers over walmart and meijers I would. The extra cost tacked on items help the employees get a decent wage. Really its too bad about the prices and I remember getting their whoo hoo deals on near expired items or inventory that they need to get rid of. I have not seen such deals in a long time. I give them a 4 for all the good they try to do. Im not taking away a star because I cant affkrd it but because of the inconvenience getting to their gas station. If you can afford it support the employees.

This has to be The most understaffed store in the entire chain. Especially, if you work during the day, and can't get there until later in the evening.
The meat and fish department are great, but good luck finding anyone there. Even in the day it's hard to find either the butcher or the fish person. But I will say that they have a good selection, and it's usually decent quality. It's just that you are buying prepackaged stuff if you don't get there by 5:00 or 6:00.
The same goes with the bakery department and the deli department. And pretty much every single other department in the store.
I went in on the Monday before Fat Tuesday, because I wasn't going to get a chance to stop in Hamtramck to get Packzi's. They tasted like they had been in the freezer for a month, the dough was so dried out.
And why do I have to ring up a half a cart full of groceries by myself, and then bag them??? I'm not your employee!!! Quit acting like you're doing me a favor by being open, when you have nobody there to help your customers. And the ones that are, would rather be chatting while ignoring people.
You can do better for the community you serve, Kroger. You're pissing on the grave of Barney Kroger.

They had no checkers open only self scan fine whatever. I had a large order and instead of offering to help bag so I didn't have to keep stopping because the conveyor only allows so much on it them you have to bag it and keep going back and forth or get a cart so I don't have to put my groceries on the floor they just watched me and chated. When I made a comment about having a checker for large orders they then chose to just ignore me and act like I wasn't there.

If I could give it zero stars I would. The lady at the self checkout decided to power trip when I was purchasing beer. She didn’t believe I was 21 even though I have an enhanced ID that clearly reads my birthdate and veteran status. She made me set all my stuff down and leave. I was there the day before purchasing alcohol and never had an issue. If you’re at this place, it’s a complete waste of time and utter embarrassment to veterans.

If you want to get lottery tickets don't go to Kroger gas station! I let him know beforehand that I was getting lottery tickets for Christmas. The guy shook his head at me the whole time he was getting them and ignored me for the rest of the transaction. I called the manager to let them know and they don't care either!

Low or no product, one entrance/exit door has been out of service for far to long, price were tge lowest in town, now they are not. Shopping there, you get the feeling Kroger is going out of buisness, I've switch to a competitor, and only shop there for a few of the Kroger products. This past year Kroger has gone down hill fast.

You have a sign posted. Withdrawal up to 5000 with debt card withdrawal. When I asked about it. I was told I could only get 300 max. Why advertise false information

Everything about this experience was wonderful. We got our flu vaccines today. Everyone was very nice. The technician that gave them to us was so sweet, thank you.

Excellent store for groceries. Greeted kindly by the manager and the vegetables and items were presented wonderfully and clean. Manager said hello and goodbye as he acknowledged each person's visit.
