When my hubby and I moved up here in in 2010, they welcomed us with smiles and open arms! I have enjoyed being an auxiliary member for an organization that not only shows extreme appreciation and direction for all our valued veterans, this organization really is a positive for our community. Lapeer Post 4139 and the auxiliary ROCK! I recommend you check it out!!

Worst Veterans Day Ever. Ok, so I understand the VFW is a sort of club, and I had never stepped foot in one until today. Always sort of thought it was for older crowds and well, now I'm 40 sooo.... yeah, figured it was time. Was only there for 5 minutes and never in my life have I ever been treated so disrespectfully by fellow vets in my life. And yes, I know what VFW stands for, I went to war twice for this country. All I really wanted was some information on how to join what I thought was a community of my brethren but I hope they all get smoked by the ghost of Chesty.
