I just got ripped off for over $5600 and MFCU will not reimburse me for my loss. They have told me that I gave out security information and there's nothing they can do. I DID NOT give out any security information for my account. YOUR MONEY IS NOT SAFE AT MICHIGAN FIRST CREDIT UNION.

I advise everyone not to bank with Michigan first credit Union they are not a good company to bank with their mortgage department is very rude they don't call you back in very disrespectful I hate Michigan credit Union with all my heart and I will be banking somewhere else they are evil and they only nickel and dime you for everything.

His customer service is stellar and it is the cornerstone of ensuring that customers are pleased with their services. His distinctive personality qualities creates an excellent welcome experience in providing support for customers. Furthermore, an employee such as Mr Huyser will have a positive impact on the growth of this company with his integrity principles. He is very informative on pertinent details information that will provide additional support to customers. Michigan First is blessed to have someone of your caliber on their leadership team! In addition, Mr Huyser was not in the office the following day, but his manager Mr. Brock contacted me the next day to ensure that my request was completed in a timely manner. This is what excellent customer service looks like with an effective collaborative teamwork! As a matter of fact when Mr. Huyser returned back to work, he did a follow-up to provide future assistant. I wish i could give 0 stars. No .1 they're mobil app you cant put decimals in for your checks so they make the deposit then months later they tell u via text the deposit didn't go through. I've banked with them for years and purchased a car they denied me. They said pay it down and come back. Mind you I had the same amount of bills 700 credit score and they denied me again. When I called to see about the checks they were not helpful but rude except the last person I talked to said they don't keep copies of deposit so there's nothing they can do unfortunately. This is bad banking and as soon as I can I'm moving my direct deposit. I would close but i have a credit card and its a huge part of my credit worthiness.

Michigan First Credit union is no longer an adequate financial institution. A year ago we had a representative threaten to cancel a pre-approval for a car loan because we wanted to read through the documents. I have attempted to travel with multiple inconveniences despite travel notices and communication that lead to additional costs and being stranded, no real help with needing a card replacement and today had a merchant say a purchase did not go through and after calling Michigan First to see if the card was declined for fraud they did not verify or catch this issue- the transaction posted and the representative made it clear they would again be little to no help. They also block howuch you can withdraw from a branch or access your liquidated funds. Do not risk your investments here. Find anywhere else to bank.

I want to first start off by saying I have banked with Michigan First for a few years now and have had an okay experience. One of the reasons I decided to get with the account is because of my mom's great experience with you all. Recently, I , who is in college, unfortunately was a victim of my account being wiped clean by a scammer. My mom and I immediately reached out to Michigan first to file a dispute against the charges that were made and filed a police report. The representatives at First were very understanding and said this should be taken care of with no issue. After a week of no update, we decided to call and they advised it was still processing. We waited an additional week and called again. This representative was extremely rude and told me that I should have known better, he showed no empathy and was rude the entire call. My mom asked the representative was there a data leak?? The scammer was able to spoof a phone call and act like a michigan first representative which indicates there is a confidentiality issue on the CU behalf. The representative continued to be snobby and unhelpful just to tell her the dispute denied! Im out of over $500 dollars and that includes my rent money and more. Then, the CU did nothing to help. I asked for manager, he advised that they was unavailable and will call us within 24 hours. This was on April 22nd, today is May 1st. Still nothing. l've extremely disappointed and will most likely be changing institutions as soon as possible. It's unfair to not take accountability of information being leaked which allows scammers to successfully steal.

I would give this bank a -0 worse bank ever. I had my car loan with them and I was just a month late due to working cutting our hours they repossess my car. I moved out of the state for work and they treat me like if I did a crime saying that I was ran away from Michigan and hide the car. Moving for work in another state does not mean your running away or hiding a car. Jeffrey Stroup "the payment manager was the one whom accused me of me "running away and hiding a car". Danielle Poe Elcan would not answer my calls she would let the phone ring until it reach to voicemail I try calling with my friends phone and for some reason she did picked the call she also treated me very bad saying that I have been calling to many times. Like excuse me I was trying to work something so I could get my car back. I asked to talked to Jeffery but "he was busy" to take my call. I will be suing this bank for how they treat me accusing I did a crime. Please don't bank or ever get any type of loans with this bank because if you're a month late on anything they will accuse you of things. People go through things and with how the market is work is slow and people either getting hours cut or layoff. But God is big and these 2 people Jeffrey and Danielle will 1 day go through a hard time and they don't know how the tables will end on their side

I am not sure where to start this credit union is continuously going downhill from the professionalism, to them making you feel like you committed a crime and Ive been with this credit union for years. 365 live is a joke, the management is a joke and their follow through doesn't exist. I purchased an outfit for my birthday last year and it was absolutely horrendous. I immediately followed their return policy in order to receive my $270. Of course it takes a while to receive the merchandise, process the return etc. a couple weeks go by and still no refund. So now I'm going back n forth with the merchant and they're trying to tell me the refunded the charges. So I then proceed to Michigan First to do a fraudulent claim. I had all pieces of documentation, emails with the merchant stating that they gave me a credit. After a month of no follow through with Michigan First because they tried to tell me I was way past the window to do a claim even after I provided them with all the documentation. Long story short they have this manager short black African American woman who hasn't been with them for a year as of yet. I wish I could remember her name, she tries to down talk her staff to me and make me feel like she was on my side and my issue was going to be resolved. She disappeared too and needless to say I never got my money returned from the merchant or Michigan First whom I've been loyal too for so many years. 365 live is a joke and the representative you can tell they hired out of desperation. Unprofessional, lack of knowledge is just a couple to name to describe that department. I am not sure what went wrong but MICHIGAN FIRST HAS DEFINITELY LOST MY RESPECT AND WILL SOON LOSE MY BUSINESS.

This place is horrible!!! I was always told that a credit union was the best place to bank with and always heard of all the so called benefits that they could offer me!! I opened my account at the age of 18 right after graduating high school and have been with this institution for almost 20 years and in all this time I've never been able to take advantage of anything offered!! When going in for credit cards, car loans, etc, I have been treated like I'm nothing! Never being able to receive any type of help from my bank!! The fees they impose on you and your money are downright ridiculous!!! When I was in school and began receiving disbursement checks, each time I deposited a check, they made me wait the entire waiting period for the checks to hold!! I felt I was always stereotyped by my appearance instead of being treated as a valued member!!! The last straw for me is how they closed my bank account without any communication or notice then after the account had already been closed, I finally receive a letter in the mail stating my account was closed due to being overdrawn then a week later after that, I then received a check from them stating that this was what was left in my account!! Can someone make this make sense!!! Lol but anyway I just know that is was God removing this place from my life because it's literally done nothing for me!! You would think banking with a institution for 20 years, you would be valued and considered much more but not at Michigan First, you have to be elderly or Caucasian to really be treated with some degree of dignity! I'm so happy I am no longer a member here!!

This is the ABSOLUTE WORSE banking institution ever! I came in wanting to open both a personal account and one for my business. The rep was nice enough until he took my license and came back in an accusatory tone that I owed $200 from TWELVE YEARS ago! He said unless I paid, I couldn't have an account. I advised him that I was a victim of identity fraud and I could get paperwork to show him. That didn't help. I even talked to a manager that refused my business. Well, they apparently reported me to Chex System. This system is used by banks to report "bad customers". Well I took my business to VIBE CREDIT UNION who assisted me in getting my recorded CLEARED and now has my PERSONAL and BUSINESS ACCOUNTS! Lastly, I shared my experience with a friend who SUED Michigan First AND WON due to them REPOSSESSING their PAID OFF TRUCK, because of their banking system errors! Sooooo, I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

I have one account with them--a mortgage because my primary credit union is located in another state and does not lend in Michigan--and that's all I'll ever have because their customer service is terrible. Zero follow up, not even status reports when things are going right but taking time. Have a problem? Forget about ever getting it resolved because this company cannot be bothered to even look into problems.

THIS IS THE WORST CREDIT UNION EVER!!!!!! Everyone I know that has had an account has closed the account. They are horrible and are the bottom of the barrel . Unprofessional and will have your accounts jacked

Would recommend Michigan First 100%. I worked with Diego, he was very professional and friendly, he reacted to my needs in time and were able to close a deal very quickly!
