My car died and I just so happened to pull into the parking lot next to Darby’s… I was so flustered by the event but they took the best care of my car! They were nice enough to get my dead car from the parking lot next store and into their shop, fixed it up at amazing speed, and at a reasonable price! As someone who doesn’t know anything about cars, I love the honesty and they never tried to pressure me into extra stuff I didn’t need. Thank you!!

I went to Quick Lane in Canton to see what was wrong with my car. They said I needed $890 in brake repairs. calipers ,brake pads and rotors on the back right and left. One caliper was leaking and the other was old and should be replaced. Charged me $120.00 for diagnostic services.I called around to get quotes from other places. I settled on Darbys who quoted me on the phone $690.00.When I took my car in Gary said that one caliper had been replaced and did NOT need service at this time saving me money. My total bill was $493.00. I'm out the fee of $120 from the other company, but still almost $300.00 ahead. I will never go to another place to have my car repaired. NEVER!!!

Darbys has always been my family's go to place to get our cars fixed since I was a kid. I've now had to take my own vehicle in. Due to what was happening he recomened going to get my tires checked first instead of trying to sell me on repairs that may not fix it the issue. It is a trust worthy place that cares about their customers.

I have had Darby repair my kids and wife's cars. This is really an honest person with fair prices. I always get my old parts back with an explanation of the repair. I recommend them to my friends and family.

I am furious. My husband's family has been going to ******* for decades. We've never had a problem here -- but the last time I checked, a mechanic was supposed to get the customer's authorization BEFORE making a **********************. We brought her in for a tune up this morning (WITH an appointment). They decided to do some additional repairs WITHOUT clearing it with us first. Now, she may have needed the work, but I don't appreciate a **** for an additional $125 part that we didn't authorize. Adding insult to injury, it took ALL DAY (which, I guess when you're doing extra work the customer didn't ask for or know about, it might take longer than one would expect for a tune up). And yeah, we got an apology and an apology is nice, but it doesn't really change the fact that we also got a **** for a $125 part on a repair we didn't authorize. I have no idea what kind of kids (husband described the mechanic as "a kid") Darby is hiring these days, but we won't be back. Neither will Mom and Dad. We need a mechanic we can trust. How do you trust someone who does work without permission and just hands you the bill?
