I've rented a car from them supposedly good, I got to 40 miles per hour tried braking and the car is dancing, so I went back to them to replace the car or get it fixed they simply said you're stuck with it. It's not our fault if you don't want it drop it off lose your deposit l, or drop it off at the shop and you're still paying for the days rented.Worse part I've dropped it off in the morning and it's almost night now hertz haven't gave their authorized shop approval to do brakes

Office not organized/ staff okay but very average customer serviceReserved a car once I got there they didn’t have itSo what’s the point of doing a reservation.Online they say they close at 6:00 pmBut when I called to ask a question about my reservation they said they close @ 4:30Wasted my gas and an hour of valuable time ( half hour to be seen and half hour driving there)Will never return to this location.

Worst service ever! I felt discriminated against, insulted, harassed, and treated as if I did not deserve to be given any type of service and my money did not have any value.I made a reservation online with an Apple Master card credit card, but the system placed a hold on the card and advised me to go to the local store to pick up the vehicle.When I arrived at the store, I was not even acknowledged, until employee Sage took care of me and informed me that Hertz does not accept Apple Master cards, PayPal Visa credit cards, or Target Visa, (a very well-known store countrywide), I asked the employee to provide an official document stating it she showed me the Hertz website stating the opposite (all major credit cards are accepted including Visa, MasterCard, and American Express).I asked to get the manager and April was stuck in the same mentality she did not want to hear my legitimate explanation, I asked her to call someone above her and she did, the person over the phone said they did not accept PayPal a few minutes later, called back and said she needed to accept PayPal visa card.I asked the manager to attend to me directly making up excuses not to do so but as soon as said I was going to report her directly to the Hertz corporate office, her demeanor changed, and finally was able to use my PayPal visa card to finalize my rental which did not have ready.Over two hours that I did not need to spend at this store.After begging for service and 45 minutes more the manager came asking to sign on her phone screen, I asked, what am I signing? She stated, That the car was all “OK”. without me looking at it is impossible. She stated, “ I guess we have to look at it”.Overall, three hours to rent a car is unacceptable business ethics.Thank you, Monae, keep up the great work.Customer should never have to beg for service, especially during a vacation or while traveling out of their comfort zone.Managers like April should be competent and employees like Sage should learn to read more and take leadership on what is right.I would not suggest this location for your traveling arrangements.Hertz, please stop hiring low-quality customer service.Sending this review to the local management is never going to fix anything, this has to be reported to the Hertz regional management or corporate office.

Terrible service. I went to pick up my car I had reserved and after waiting in line for over 1 hour, we were told our car was not ready and needed to wait another 15-30 minutes to be cleaned.Uber/Lyft rentals were priority and everything at this office was handled terribly. Rent elsewhere, worst experience ever, and I rent cars when traveling monthly. Terrible customer service and experience.

Tried renting from this location twice. Both time have ahead to wait 45 min to even speak with someone let alone getting a car. With status with hertz most locations have a loyalty lane for fast pickups, this one doesn’t. First rental or thousandth rental with hertz, plan on being here for over an hour.

So, I arrived at the Livonia location around 5 minutes before 12pm (when they close on Saturdays) to pick up my rental car. The front doors were locked so it seemed they were closed. So, I proceeded to call customer service to confirm they were supposed to be open. While on hold, I proceeded to the back of the building where the door was unlocked. When I entered the building, there were 2 employees who were literally sitting at the front door that was locked. They watched me attempt to open the front door that they locked. This was likely due to them not wanting to deal with any more customers before closing. When I entered the building through the back, this employee with no uniform on, ripped jeans, and glasses glared and rolled her eyes at me. This was unprofessional and these Hertz employees need to be reminded of their business hours.

Went in for a Uber rental program was told there would be a premium electric car witch they did not have the first day I came I ended up coming late staff was very friendly that day but apparently that was just a real me in the next day I show up I put my name on the sign up sheet the staff never looked at the sign up sheet just kept passing me up and letting other people get cars I was also told that there was many cars there so many cars that they couldn't discuss how many cars they have on the lot I get there and there are only two vehicles that I have to choose from so I choose the best fit that I thought would work instantly as I looked at the vehicle it was not for me I'm a man with back issues and knee issues and I knew the vehicle would be too small and also had nothing but scratches on it so then I go to leave in some random worker drove the vehicle right in front of the vehicle that I was in looked at me got out of the vehicle and went into the building which lasted about 20 to 25 minutes I'm a very patient person things take a while for them to blister and make me upset so after that one of the other managers or some other staff whoever works there came out and I said hey not to sound funny but I would like to go the guy comes back out drives the car forward then I'm able to drive away so I drove the car all week with my legs jammed into the dashboard the sixth day before my rental was up I went in to ask how to change the vehicle to get it to a different because a week ago they said I was able to do but apparently that was just a real so I'm talking to the staff one of them it was wondering what time I had to show up on my rental day to show up so I can get into a different vehicle then the other staff get involved starts telling me that we don't do changes and we don't do that well why did you tell me I could do that the week ago it got to the point where I had to switch desks and talk to this individual the same individual that had the butt in my conversation last week when I was trying to figure out where I was going to take my car so I can hop the bus and come back and get it and I also knew I wasn't going to leave it on the lot and I sure didn't need to be told twice that you can't leave your car on and never once did I say I was going to leave my car on the lot so as I'm talking to this individual and as he's downplaying me as he can tell that I don't have good communication skills cuz I've been hitting my head way too many times I tell him all the things that are going wrong with the vehicle without checking he says oh no there's nothing wrong with that this persistent for about at least a half-hour while everybody in the place is on looking and in our business of what we're talking about I tell him the brakes are going bad the tires are going the air conditioner doesn't even blow cold air he says why do you want the air conditioner fixed when we only have a few hot left I also told them I had a five-star rating for a whole year and today I got three ones because my air conditioner wasn't working so it gets to the point where he says I'll put you in a different vehicle if I take this car for a ride and there's something wrong I told him make sure you drive over 55 on the expressway and slow down fast as if you were trying to avoid getting into an accident and also said there's a loud hum make sure you hear that he comes back 20 minutes later talking about the air conditioner is blowing just nothing but cold air and their brakes are fine he doesn't hear a humming noise and will put you in the same vehicle if you come back here to try to get another vehicle so now this is going on 2 weeks my knees are sore my back is sore and people are still cramped in the back seat now yes it was blowing cold air when he came back but after about 2 hours driving but if I shut the car off then turn it back on it starts blowing cold air now my brakes are getting worse and more unsafe to drive and also one of th

They don't take debit card at this location. Also, I came at 3:50 on a Tuesday for my 4:00 reservation and there were 9 customers ahead of me. Only one person working there. Was told it would be about a 90 minute wait to get a car. Don't go here.

HORRIBLE company and customer service! My friend did Uber for Hertz and charged him a week after the car was dropped off! The immature and unprofessional staff obviously have no training in public service! I see how Hertz had to pay millions in a lawsuit! Managers/supervisors are cowards who do not stand by their word! Shameful company!!!!!!! DON’T USE HERTZ!!!

This place doesn't deserve any stars, as 10 people are waiting to be helped in the lobby. The only employee there is 1 lady that is completely scattered and going in and out of the lobby then decides to give a car a carwash. This is the most horrible place to rent from. Find another or save yourself and Uber. Do NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE

I rarely leave bad reviews- but wow. Awful experience trying to rent a car from this location. I would highly recommend avoiding having any dealings with this particular Hertz location. Extremely unorganized, understaffed, reservation times mean nothing, along with car availability confirmations. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else.

Definitely avoid this place. Had a confirmed reservation for an economy car several weeks in advance, but when I showed up they said they didn't have any cars available. Claimed he tried to call me but I never received a call. He then said that he might have a truck available but he would have to charge me extra for that even though I had a confirmed reservation for which they should have provided me another vehicle at the lower price. No apology. Definitely will be looking for another location in the future.

?? ?? ??1. This Place needs some serious help!!!I made a same day reservation for a Pick-up truck. I called this location and spoke to the female associate (I know her name but wouldn’t put her on the spot here) and she confirmed that they are arranging it for me. I drove 50 minutes to this location and found out that they never had any trucks and lady just informed that she didn’t know.2. The attitude of everyone at this location was below -1. I stood their 10 minutes before anybody acknowledged me standing there. This was my first and last time booking with hertz. I am going to stick with National-Executive Aisle where its at❤️

Please give my highest compliments to John at this Hertz location. I've rented a car twice from him now now, and both times he's helped me -- it's been quick, easy, and he responds quickly and professionally to any questions or concerns I've had. He truly puts the customer first!

DECEPTIVE. UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES!I reserved a 7 passenger vehicle online, to pickup at the Plymouth Rd, Livonia location. Website didn't have prepay option. Two days before my scheduled pickup, I stopped in to pay for the vehicle. After waiting 45 minutes, the representative explained that he didn't see a reservation for me. I showed him my info on my cellphone. He then stated that they didn't have the vehicle I wanted, but he could get me into one for $859.00 which was triple the price of the original. I let him know that $859 was not an option for me. He kept fiddling with the computer, not coming up with anything. I stated again that I want to pay for the vehicle to ensure that I get one. He stated that you can't pay for a vehicle in advance. You have to take it when you pay. I asked for the manager. Rep went to his office, but he wasn't available to speak with me. The rep explained that an online reservation means nothing because the system don't track the available inventory of each store. After sitting there over two hours, listening as walk-ins rented 7 passenger vehicles, I pointed out to him that two people just rented the same vehicle without a reservation. I asked if it was common practice to rent a reserved vehicle to someone else and charge a higher price. He didn't respond. I then asked, what are my options. He stated that I had to come back tomorrow and he would honor my original price and have a 7 passenger vehicle for me. He talked to the manager Andrew and took keys for my vehicle to lock in Andrew's office. I went back the next day before opening. He wasn't in yet. Another rep asked to assist me. I told him that the manager had the keys. The manager Andrew (who was very rude)came out with keys and said it's going to be $859. I explained that he approved my original quote yesterday, that's why the keys were locked in his office. He then stated that's a $1500 vehicle. I explained that I let them know yesterday that $859 wasn't an option. Furthermore, we were totally clear on the transaction for today. The original rep came in and discussed with the manager. He said he didn't remember what was said yesterday. They ended up charging me $160 more for the vehicle. Renting out vehicles that have already been reserved for someone else should not go to the highest bidder. Why even have a reservation system? This is deceptive practices!
