There were 2 employees working at the time I walked in. I was totally ignored . One woman walked right by me and didn't even acknowledge me. Then both employees walked into the back room . I gave up waiting for help and left . Very poor service . I do not even want to leave one star

I am going to do more than just post a great review of these ladies and what they do. I’m going to publicly post the letter they wrote me and subsequently mailed me to one of my homes. There is great customer service, then there’s the beyond generous, kind and attentiveness that they showed my daughter and I, simply put, a class of their own. I not only recommend this store, I recommend others patronize them and treat them with kindness and respect in return.

This is my favorite Lane Bryant store location. This store is clean and well organized. I especially want to comment on the Excellent customer service I have received from Hannah on several occasions. She is very personable and very helpful. She goes out of her way to make sure you are completely satisfied with your purchase. She is also very knowledgeable and takes time to help me as a customer make the right choices for myself. Excellent customer service is very hard to come by these days and I think Hannah should be acknowledged.

On, August 4, 2023, I purchased two dresses and two tops. I had two separate transactions: one dress +one top...went to car...returned inside the store and purchased another dress and top. Both purchases were for my aunt living in a nursing home. I decided to return one dress and top on Monday, August 7, 2023. I HAD LOST BOTH RECEIPTS. The store associate could not find my phone number on the computer. It was probably entered incorrectly on Friday 8/04. The associate said that she remembered me from Friday, they absolutely could do nothing without a receipt. All the tags with the SKU number and sale price tag attached. I had paid 50% off the sale price. The store associate said that I had to call Customer Service. Customer Service said that they would follow up. On Tuesday, I called the Livonia store and the store manager, Crystal, said that the District Manager said that I would have to take the lowest price point from the computer. So if the item SKU number indicated $5.00 in the computer then I would be issued a gift for that amount. Please note that the employees stated that they could not use any info from the tags; such as the SKU number to complete any return. BUT NOW THE SKU NUMBER WILL BE USED IN THE STORE COMPUTER TO ACHIEVE A RETURN OF THE SAME DRESS. This purchase was between $50 - $59. A Livonia store associate stated that the store manager said maybe I stole these items. But, both associates recall my two separate purchases on the same day. Being able to used the SKU one day to give me the lowest price point is contradictory to using it now for the store manager's convenience. She accused me of over talking her. It feels like she is determined to create " any angry AA woman" scenario. The District Manager should have advised her to issue a gift card for my actual purchase price which is 50% of the sale price on the attached tags. The cheapest stores in this area will give you store credit without an actual receipt within 30 days of a return. This brick and mortar store is stated on the internet as filing for bankruptcy. I had intended to spend one credit right inside the Livonia store. But, if given a credit I will spend at the Southfield store. It seems like the Livonia manager is so sure of her store staying open that she doesn't have to create positive customer relations. I will never recommend going into this store for any purchase. This manager has made this purchase of less than 60 dollars a nightmare!!

They had a sale and for the first time they had my bra size in various colors and designs I purchased five bras an Usually, I can only find beige or black in my size. The sale was incredible! I purchased additional items that were great deals. The sales persons were very helpful.

Very disappointed. I’m sure they are glad that I wasn’t mystery shopping today. I walked in pursued for about 20 minutes never once got a hello, welcome to lane Bryant or someone to come up. The place had about 3 other people none of which either were being helped and 2 of whom I spoke to. There were 4 associates all at the front talking to each other and one that looked like a friend of one of the associates. I waited another 10 mins. Made it obvious that I could use a hand. I was looking to spend a couple hundred as I’m pregnant and needed a party dress, new underwear, a few bras and some pants. That was the goal. I had to track someone down who was visibly annoyed and asked for a room who told me all the rooms were open and I could just go in. A manager asked finally after 45 min if I found all I needed but it was just in passing as they moved to the back of the store, when I said yes, I need a little help, she said oh well I’m off now but I’ll tell the others. I waited 15 more mins walking around making eye contact and no one helped me. 5/6/2023 3-4:30p. I bought one bra as proof and when I asked for the discount that was advertised everywhere I was told the bras in clearance don’t count. Ok. I paid and left. I’ll be going to Torrid or someplace else.

I stopped in with hopes of being serviced in some type of satisfactory way. I purchased 3 of the same kind of bra. Balconette Backsmoother. I have not had these bras for 1 year yet and the wire has snapped in half on each bra, while wearing them. For the $70 price paid for each, I was hoping to do an exchange, get some type of explanation of the quality, receive some type of support or something, and I got nothing! Instead, I was told that if I wanted to purchase another bra, I’d have to order online because they didn’t have any in the store that was my size. I was told there are no warranties on bras because of wear and tear and washing them in a washing machine. Never was I offered to make the purchase in-store and have it shipped there or to my home, there was no empathy for having a receipt that says the bras were purchased less than a year ago and when I asked to be sized, I was greeted with a “girl we stopped doing that when covid hit,” even though I had a mask on. I am very dissatisfied with the quality of service that I received. This is my second time in the store with a horrible customer experience. I asked if I am out of luck about the bras and if I needed to spend another $200 replacing them and I was simply told, yes.

I stopped in for the first time today looking for a gift. There were two associates working. Neither one of them said hi or acknowledged me in any way. I was the only shopper in there at 2:45pm. After about 10 minutes, I walked out without a purchase. Lousy customer service.

I have gone to Livonia, MI, Lane Bryant for a long while now, and NORMALLY, I received EXCELLENT customer service. This incident will not stop me from going there because the Livonia Lane Bryant team there is excellent, but I felt this moment was essential to let Lane Bryant Corporate know they have a problem. I stopped going to the Lane Bryant in Southfield, MI, location because of their poor managerial services. In any case, Lane Bryant Livonia knows me by name, so this incident is highly upsetting. I am tooling around the Lane Bryant Livonia store shopping etc., and it is close to their closing time on 11/16/2022. There were a few customers and two workers in the Livonia Lane Bryant store. There happens to be one white older lady and one black younger lady folding clothes and straightening things up. I say the race only because of the incident at the Livonia Lane Bryant store. The white worker asked me why I didn't frequent the Southfield Lane Bryant store, and I told her that there was poor customer service, and that was why I was there (Livonia Lane Bryant) store. She said she's heard that and said you know what "they" call the Lane Bryant Allen Park store. I said No...I didn't even know there was a Lane Bryant in Allen Park. She said they call it the "N***er" store, the <---racial word used in a derogatory manner towards Black People. Everything stopped for me! I looked her in the face and said WHY YOU WOULD SAY THAT WORD TO ME??? WHY WOULD YOU USE THAT TERM WITH ME? Honestly, it took everything in my soul not to curse that Lady out, but I decided to make it a teachable moment, and besides, a young Black Woman was watching me and I am not going to perpetuate negativity. I did not raise my voice but there was no doubt that I did NOT appreciate the situation .I told the Livonia Lane Bryant customer service lady how offended I was about her using that term and that the situation could have been different if I were a different kind of person. I gave her MANY opportunities to apologize, and this lady said well, that is what she told me. I said I wasn't present during your prior conversation, so I have no clue who she is, and you said the word to me. STILL NO APOLOGY!! I spoke to her for at least 5 to 7 minutes explaining why it was offensive. NOT ONE APOLOGY! NO REMORSE. I turned away from her and dismissed her, clearly a lost cause. She was very aware that I was upset (if I did not care was a person, it would be her). I wanted to speak with the young black lady because it was a tense situation and give her words of encouragement. The white lady stood there for a long while as I turned my back, I believe to hear what I would say to the young black lady, and I waited until she left to help a customer. I can only imagine how that young black lady is treated regularly. The microaggressions are probably UNREAL. Customer Service is truly a lost Art Form! This situation saddened me because this situation is an EXAMPLE of what Black People live with daily. I am tired of giving adults the "I DiDN'T KNOW" excuse. Lane Bryant, screen your employees! Diversity Training is in order! #SpoiledExperience
