Absolutely THE WORST place ever. They are very unprofessional and lied about issues wrong with my car. Feb 26th I drove my Malibu up to the place where i complained about oil leaks prior to coming to this shop I was told that I had several oil leaks in different places. Midas said they go off their diagnostic so they ran their own…they called and said that they can fix it at a 95% fixed and I would be able to have monthly oil changes. You guys I got my car back because I was planning on selling it the day after which was Feb 27th…the guy who was coming to test drive it was a mechanic and his guys tested the car and completely told me I had a bead gasket leak, no oil was found in the CAR AT ALL BONE DRY..Bradley and the owner himself are very RUDE. I went up there to resolve the issue and they told me I would have to pay if I ALREADY PAID FOR A “engine “ service”. Bradley STEWART told me I would need a lawyer to obtain the owners name and I DID just So. Now I’m suing them FOR my money back and so far I have extremely strong evidence. Do not go here guys! AT ALL! Even one of their mechanics. They hung up in my face…so now instead of refusing to give me back the money I paid for! They allowed me to pay for a problem! They had to know before allowing me to pay. Very unprofessional they knew I had a head gasket and chose to lie about any other issues…they called me about needing a new brake.? They couldn’t have called denying me service?? If the head gasket was leaking? No they left that information out and I went up there again to finally be diagnosed “ with a head gasket” lol. Can’t wait to see these guys in court! Almost done filing ! Again DO NOT GO HERE

I was quoted $2200 for a repair that another shop completed for $973 ($605 for the parts and $368 for labor) After reviewing the itemized estimate from Midas, I noticed the list price for each part was 2 times the cost of the OEM part from the manufacturer. I understand there is a slight mark up for each part but I have never seen a shop charge more than 2 times the cost.Needless to say I will not be returning to Midas.

The attention is terrible and without solving the problem of the car they charge the money

DO NOT TRUST THEM. On 1/2/25, I went to this Midas for an Uber vehicle inspection. When I told the person at the front desk that I had not previously been to the store before, he made the comment "oh, so you only bring it to us for the small stuff?" - he proceeded to then called the Uber vehicle standards "retarded," but claimed that they would only fail the vehicle for safety concerns.
Against my better judgement, I proceeded with the inspection. Unsurprisingly, they claimed there was an issue with the front control arm, that would require replacement, along with a new alignment, for the car to pass. At the tune of approximately $1500. I refused, but was of course charged $51.49 for a failed inspection.
In the last week, I have seen two different mechanics for second and third opinions. Both have agreed that there are no issues at all with the steering mechanism or front control arm. But, thanks to this Midas location, I have not been able to drive for Uber for over a week.
I have contacted Midas customer service and intend to file a complaint with the BBB and Michigan Attorney General Consumer Protection Division. I am worried for the number of people who unknowingly believe these mechanics and employees, who not only are using outdated and offensive language, but are apparently just out to unnecessarily upsell customers.

I made an online appointment where I specified that I needed a Ram Promaster cargo van inspected. Once I got to Midas, they told me that they didn’t have a hoist that could lift the van for the inspection, and there wasn’t anything they could do. I drove an hour and a half round trip for them to tell me sorry, we can’t help you. I don’t know why my appointment was allowed to be booked if they aren’t equipped to do inspections on vehicles that size.

I had an appointment with them, but it seems reservations don’t mean much here. The service desk lady’s behavior was shockingly inappropriate and raises serious concerns about professionalism and inclusivity.

I went in to have my brakes looked at a couple of days ago and was informed that all brake pads needed to be replaced as well as the rotors which was going to cost almost 1200 dollars. They were also going to charge me almost $50 dollars for the brake lines to be flushed which the fluid doesn’t cost near that or take much time. I took it to a new shop due to everything being outrageous and was told my front brake pads were fine although it was uncommon that I would have a rust ring on my rotor but it’s not going to hurt anything right now. I kept getting pressured at Midas to have the work done and I’m so glad I didn’t. They were trying so hard to get my money and using the brake pads for life on the vehicle but will want you to replace the rotors every time and overcharge on labor which was going to be almost $400. I would never recommend anyone to go here if you want honesty

Joe K is a shady person. He charged my warranty company for a service that he didn’t not provide. When I told him that I had a warranty his eyes lit up. He will charge your warranty company and do not provide the service. My fuel pump supposedly was bad, he put a used part only for my car 🚘 only for it to start leaking gas afterwards. when we questioned him he became defensive and call the police on us because we asked him for corporate number, which he refused. Do not I repeat do not take your car to this location. They are shady and lairs.

3.5 - 4 star
Brought in car for a wheel alignment. Found out during inspection the need to replace Shocks and Struts (sway bar, leaking, etc.) They explained better and I am not giving explanation justice. Also oil pan leaking. I was told they would include this free with other services performed, which they did. Also "manager's discount applied." All work began quoted $1700 then estimate showed normal price of over $1900 to final quote of $1600. Prices all over. Said they would take care of me, discounts, etc.
When they showed me underbody of car, prior to work. They let me know everything else was in good shape. Specifically mentioned brakes and wheel bearings in good shape. I know prices have gone up for sure yet I am not sure if I got a good deal or not, seems high. Others mention high prices, overall they may be ok. Work performed seems to be fine, warranties, etc. Writing same day as work once home.
Left with invoice paid stating vehicle needs wheel bearing yet when I called them hour later- they were not sure which wheel bearing. Humming noise was noticed by Midas on test drive. Quote for this (wheel bearing) over phone is $450. Sharing honest review. Few comments/jokes in regards to Lyft driver and price being $1000 more were not appreciated. Alignment I believe went fine.

Happy with oil change and tire rotation.

Didn't honor my tire warranty and charged me full price. After speaking with the manager, he said they'd refund the difference as the employee made a mistake. 1 month later and after contacting them multiple times, they still haven't refunded me.
Also uploaded a fake mileage to my Carfax and reported it as an inconsistency, I guess to screw me over if I tried to sell it. Too bad for them it's already sold.

I went to Midas on Plymouth in Livonia to have an inspection done. Once I started my car, the guy said it sounded like an exhaust problem. Well it was, the mechanic showed me where my exhaust was leaking. I was quoted a price of almost $3000 for parts and labor. I went and got a second opinion at a muffler shop, I only needed a middle muffler and I paid $165. Midas is a rip off, I know a little about cars because my dad was a mechanic, I'm not a female that you can get over on.

Joe is pushy and rude.
I took my vehicle for coolant leak 3x within 5mo and each time he says it was something plausible different. The last time, and it will be my last, he said it's the radiator. I allowed the repairs. The vehicle was done within 25hrs of dropoff.
Because of the flash storms that had occurred I couldn't pickup the vehicle when he wanted. He wanted me to pay over the phone and then leave the keys in the vehicle so I can pick it up after hours. It initially sounded reasonable but it's irresponsible. I need repair papers in hand before I pay... And I may have questions
He was upset that I didn't want to do business that way, and that I couldn't pick up the until the next day. He didn't care about I was stuck taking care of sewer issues and power outages in Wayne/Westland... so then he said he charge me a storage fee if the vehicle isn't picked up the next day.... which is what I told him.
Man, you gonna get your money for the repairs and trying to bully me or hurry me ain't customer service. Joe's, smile and people skills doesnt work on me, nor his pretentious threats.
Even in my frustration, I still give them 2 Stars, when I got a 1 Star treatment. They get 1 Star since my vehicle was completed in a day.
